- Q:I have a 2009 VW GTI and i want a new exhaust. I am most likely getting a KN cold air intake later. But i want an exhaust system now for less then $500. I looked on youtube at some but I only found one that sounds good. BTW id like it to sound deep with a good growl and not all poppy and sputtered. It‘d be nice to have me give me one, that has a sound clip of it and a website where you can buy it at. I am also considering going to CarX auto shop to look at what exhaust systems they got their. NO UNIVERSAL EXHAUSTS THOUGH!
- First off, in response to you thinking about that cold air intake garbage.Do you know that episode of Family Guy when Peter says something stupid and Brian rolls up a newspaper and hits him with it while saying no repeatedly? Good, find a newspaper and another person and instruct them to do just that. VW's engineers spend thousands of dollars designing a cold air intake for that car, it's got a turbo doesn't it? Or, it's your money, waste it anyways, you'll lose power but what the hell at least you think your smarter for it. - Exhaust tips don't change your exhaust sound, LOL. Yes, you must change from thee cat back to change the sound, which is silly but enjoy dude.

- I've been using micro-safe plastic for over 40 years and have had no ill effects, nor has any of my family member. Glass or ceramic dishes may be safer, but as I've said, we've never experienced any health problems from using micro-safe plastic.

- The pictured system does not include a catalytic converter. Unless a converter is located on the engine pipe (upstream of the long pipe shown) installing this exhaust system would eliminate the converter. Converters oxidize unburned hydrocarbons and convert CO to CO? thereby improving air quality. The pictured exhaust system would not meet emission standards in many other States as well. (CARB is California Air Resources Board). The pictured system will not improve engine performance, (the splitter is too far from the outlet) but will attract Police attention due to excess noise. If changing your exhaust note is the objective, you can simply replace the existing muffler. If this is unclear, update your question. Please choose a best answer from among those you get.

- No you will not. There will be little if any difference in sound.
- Q:I've been looking around, and there is a dual exhaust kit offered by GM which looks nice and I can get it for about $500 with the dual exhaust conversion kit (required since my stock exhaust is single).There is also the Dynomax Performance Super Turbo 19363 that can fit, and would be about $355 with the conversion kit and after mail-in rebates. I am thinking of going with this kit, if not the GM one.I've also some people put on Flowmaster 40's, but I don't know if they come in a complete exhaust kit. I have only found mufflers of that series.Corsa offers an exhaust kit, but it is $1,100 and I am not spending that much.I also have heard of Magnaflow, but the only system they have fits the current generation of Impala's which have a different frame and body style.I am not looking too much into performance gains (just a little gain if any), and I am looking for more of a nice sounding, free flowing system. Anybody got any opinions?
- I answered this question the last time you asked it - like HotRodGuy said - adding an exhaust does not change what your car is. There are no specific guidelines stating what qualifies your car as a High Output or High Performance V6. If you want to put a special emblem on your car than go for it, but your car isn't a high output or high performance V6 now - it's just a V6 with an exhaust.
