Q:I want to make my small block V-8 loud. I am thinking about some Flowmaster Super 40‘s. My problem is that I don‘t know if it makes a difference when the exhaust pipe enters the middle or on either sides, and whether it goes out the middle or either sides. Does it make a difference?
doesn't make a difference. they have the different set ups for certain pipes and certain cars. some cars have the muffler situated so the exhaust pipe can only enter the far side of the muffler. others have enough room for the pipe to go down the middle. all depends ps. try magnaflow instead of flowmasters. they sound good but rob your horsepower
Q:I‘m looking to put a performance exhaust system on my 89 chevy S10 and dont know where to start. Dual exhaust? single? what kind? where do i find it? put up any advice or preferences for me, thanks!
some kind of after market w/stock dem. if you want the look of duals go w/ either a single in dual out muffler or have it (Y ED) after the muffler and DONOT!!!! put the drivers side tail pipe on the outside of the driver rear shock so the spare tire will most likely have to be moved from beneath the truck p.s. have done exhaust for 10 years
Q:I own a 2003 Mitsubishi Pajero (Montero in US, Shogun in UK) It‘s a 3.8L V6 GLS and I want some more noise from my exhaust. I want more of a growl than a rubbish noise at lower revvs. I‘m planning to get rid of the muffler and install a straight pipe with new exhaust tips since it‘s much cheaper than getting a whole new exhaust system and I can‘t make holes in my muffler either. Any sugguestions and recommendations are welcome. Thanks!
if u want to stright pipe it then add in a new muffler. by removing the entire system u are increasing cabin nosie and it will get irritating after awhile bc u will be in the lower rpms and it will be ungodly loud and might pop every once in awhile also ure decel will be awful and sound more like ure accelerating,, id stright pipe it with 2 3/4 stainless pipe and run the flowmaster 40 series,, i have used them on a couple of applications and it gives a deep throughty sound and it wont have the very loud cabin noise or the very loud decel noises,,, but ure accel will be deep and mellow a bit higher pitched than the v8 but thats to be expected in any v6 with any exaust system. id also add in a clod air intake,, it will increase ure throttle response and give it a bit deeper sound
Q:i want a sporty, in your face! type of attitude from the exhaust. sorta like what you would hear from a street racers car. any suggestions are welcome, i checked borla and they dont have any for the 99 eclipse.
If it you straighten your hair too much, any form of heat repeatedly used will damage your hair. Ceramic are suppose to be the best, but still can damage your hair. It is also important to note that when straightening your hair make sure it is completely dry not wet.
Q:I just bought a 1996 Mustang with a 3.8L v6. I want to put a exhaust system that is loud and deep. I was thinking about the Flowmaster 40 series with off-road X-pipes. But not really sure. Does anyone have anymore suggestions?
Most people really like magnaflow exhaust for a loud and deep sound
Q:should I install aftermarket muffler?
Why would u want a loud car? To be an annoying ********?
Q:Please tell me where can I find them and does the whole exhaust take away the warranty, if yes how about just the exhaust tip?
you cannot melt down 14k and 10k and mix them and come up with 24k doesn't work that wayyou'd melt the 14k and take out all the alloys in it.keep the gold. then melt down the 10k and get the alloys out of it. put those bits of gold, too. those and the other ones from the 14k are now 24k, but considerable less of it than you started with
Q:if u can, will it pass inspection?
I used to do inspections for the State of Texas, so here you go: If the car is newer than 1968 you must have an exhaust system (muffler and pipes). If the car is newer than 1984 you must have catalytic converter(s) There cannot be any holes, leaks or rust in the exhaust system. The exhaust must exit to the rear of the passenger compartment. You will not pass inspection unless you meet above requirements and they may make you pay for your inspection even if you fail.
Q:what exactly is a catback exhaust system and how is it different from any other performance exhaust system?
A cat back exhaust is just that. It's the section of the exhaust that goes from behind the back end of the catalytic converter. The term cat back is used so to make it clear to the buyer that they are not getting a full exhaust from the manifold back. It is nothing to do with cat bypass pipes for which the cat back section would still be required. Cat back systems are typically described as performance cat back exhaust so there is no difference.
Q:one of my friends has an exhaust system on his car that he can control to connect or detach?or something like that. so he can drive around with the exhaust soundin all badass but when he sees a cop, he can make it really quiet.does anyone know how to get this done or what its called?
Not much. There is no maintainance on the exhaust system except maybe for the rubber hangers that hold up the exhaust. Sometimes in older vehicles, oil leaks from the engine might pass through to the exhaust (unusual oil smell) and clog/damage the oxygen sensor that is connected to the exhaust. Depending on the actual exhaust material, this might damage the muffler itself. There is no actual schedule maintainance for the exhaust system.
