- Magnaflw makes very good exhaust systems. They are known for quality and good sound. Go to their website and you can hear the way they sound. As far as trucks go, the Titan on there sounds better than any other truck. 339ci big block oh yeah. The chevy 8.1 sounds like crap. Slow to rev.

- Hi. The feature you are discussing is not an exhaust system - it's really just a part you add to your exhaust system. It is more less a gate valve. It is typically installed on a car with headers, right behind the collectors. In one position, it allows the exhaust to flow normally through the rest of the exhaust system (mufflers and tailpipe). In another position, activated by a switch you will install in your car, it will allow the exhaust to flow directly out the side of the car, emulating open headers (andvery loud!). Before this device was invented, some old school cars used a sort of mini Y-pipe behind the collector, with the end facing out the side of the car closed with a bolt on cover. Once at the track (or whenever you wanted to run open pipes), you would just unbolt the cover.

- just get a muffler, it's cheaper and since it's a newer car, aftermarket stuff we be wayy expense. Compare a cat back system with the 2010 camaro to a 05+ mustang, a big gap in price. I when with the slp loudmouth 1, it's loud and has a low rumble. it's up to you what you like

- This is so easy: DON'T. Cheap exhausts, like glass packs, cause problems, corrode and need replacement quickly, and can lead to tickets for violating the sound laws. Expensive after-market exhausts are EXPENSIVE (try $2,000 on for size) and will only lead to so much throaty sound from a four cylinder engine.

- Q:I was wondering what kind of exhaust system to get for my Firebird 92. I am looking for the best one for the best price with the best performance for my model of Firebird. I would like it to be a dual exhaust I was looking at some of the flow master exhaust systems but all it said about them was what kind of series and not much about the performance. My car is just a regular Firebird and not a trans am so please don‘t think that it is just a 5.0L V8 engine with dual exhaust but still has a bit of fight in it but would like to add a bit more. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
- Dynomax UltraFlo SS cat-back exhaust system $317.00 from Summit Racing, for a good start. Flowmaster is restrictive junk, Dynomax outflows them by 48%, stock exhaust flow rates (in CFM) are even worse, completely horrific numbers! Headers are a going to be problematic, and engineering a true dual exhaust with X-Pipe crossover and still being able to pass inspection is an expensive proposition. You really might want to start with an Eddy (Edelbrock) High-Flo TPI manifold first and then play with exhaust system improvements. Real improvements in HP and Torque are accomplished with parts made of steel and aluminum not chips.
