FAQ of SBS Single Stage Double Suction Centrifugal Pump

1. Can your pumps mount Eff.1 motors

Currently, only on request though this will shortly be a CNBM standard.

2. Are your pumps protected against dry running?

No, unprotected centrifugal pumps are not generally designed for dry running. It is important to give us or your dealer as much information as possible about the system in which the pump is used. Inlet pressure, the type of liquid to be pumped, together with relative density, viscosity and temperature, for example, are required in order to allow CNBM to recommend the right pump with the right gaskets for a long operating lifetime.

3. How can I get trained on CNBM products?

Yes, we provide training courses in our factory (products, general and specific pump technology, hydraulics, and practical applications). Please consult your sales manager or get in touch with our headquarters for more information.

Q:I've been noticing a difference in the temperature gage lately. The quot;change oillight has also been coming on and I just had an oil change not even a month ago, and the car isn't even due back for at least another month. I noticed there's a green/blue liquid in my driveway today, too. I looked under the car and something is leaking or dripping around the passengers side front wheel. More so the passenger-middle side. I've been told it could be the water pump.
you could call your interior reach Dealership and that they supply you the hard artwork for this fix. maximum all shops use the Chilton hard artwork classes for hard artwork time on maintenance. make certain you shop around for sturdy section fees. i advise my consumers to discover this suggestion hard artwork/areas cost. then they are able to call around and shop for the suited cost, if the hard artwork cost is physically powerful however the section is outrageous, then grant the section (do no longer tell the shop which you would be offering the section or they could attempt to advance the hard artwork cost). sturdy success
Q:My 1999 ford taurus WATER pump and serpentine belt need to be replaced because I can't stir the stiring wheel .... Would you know approximately how much this could cost so I dont get ripped off ??? I know nothing about cars... and this mechanic is saying between 300$ to 400$ and that is wayyy too expensive . It was kinda obvious to him that I know nothing about carsTHANKS A LOT!!!
Don't you really mean timing belt, water pump, and serpentine belt? Last time I paid someone to do that it was $415, and they reused my serpentine belt so add ~$20 extra for that. That was on an Escort, but I assume any other front wheel drive car would cost about the same.
Q:There is a loud squeecking noise coming from the water pump and the serpentime belt isnt loose!I dont know how long it would take a mechanic to do the job?
Spray some water on the belt while it's schreeching to rule the belt out. They often make noise, even when tight.
Q:My well water pump runs constantly. The manual says it should kick off at 50 psi, it only gets to 48 (moves to 45 rather quickly, slow to 48). Water isn't an issue. Turned off all water to house, and still gets to 48, so I believe I can exclude leak somewhere in the house. One place I called said it could be a bit of grit in the jet pump when I called. This seems like it could cost big bucks. Could I suggest for the service man to check anything else?
I had the same problem with this in my home and I fixed it by simply adding air to my pressure tank. where your well line comes in there you should have a water softener and filters and a tank for holding pressure in the lines. shut off the water to the house and start filling the tank with air until you get to around 46 PSI once that's done turn the house water back on. It should take a lot longer for the pump to kick on now. It's pretty easy and I would definitely try to do it yourself first before calling a repair man out. It'll save you a few bucks!
Q:What is the difference between a low pressure pump and a high pressure pump?
The specific speed of the high pressure pump is relatively smaller than the speed.Lift is not the same, the same flow, high pressure pump head high.Pump and shaft materials are not the same, high pressure pump raw material demand is higher, to be able to accept greater pressure and torque. The size is different, the pump body of high pressure pump is larger.Bearings can also be different, low pressure pumps are rolling bearings, and high pressure pump power, then some pumps are selected sliding bearings. The support method can also be different, the low-pressure pump is the pump foot support, but the high pressure pump can be the intermediate support.
Q:i have a well that i am trying to pump and i need to have one pump to bring the water up from the well, and one pump to take it out to our lawn. i just wanted to know if i could hook the irrigation pump directly into the well pump, or if that would be damaging to the pump?thanks!
Yes you can your pumps will not damage
Q:no water is running my deep well pump kicks on every 15 min. it runs for 1-2 min when it kicks off then a noise like someone threw a ball against the house. can you help
it sounds like either your pressure switch is messed up or your pressure tank isn't working right
Q:Hello, i have a 1987 volkswagen cabriolet that i purchased earlier this year. So far its been a pain in the butt. Recently i noticed it overheats real quick, but it didnt use to. then i noticed the coolant/antifreeze was being used up like no other! I discovered, after being parked at work, that it was leaking. it leaks basically anything i put in there now!! it leaks from the water pump housing,.,.... at least thats what the internet said it was.. its leaking from the end of the hose that connects to the engine... (the hose that comes from the coolant reservoir.) What do i do? I dont feel any cracks? does this part crack? is it an o-ring or somehting? how can i fix it? what happens if i dont? I am really absolutely NOTHING ABOUT CARS. Please help!!
The water pump a vent designed in the housing that will drip coolant when the water pump seal is blown. Replace the water pump.
Q:I have a 1986 Camaro and it is overheating. Thermostat was changed and fan is working. When it over heats it doesnt loose any coolant. Hoses are hot. I dont see any white smoke. No milky oil. Car runs good except sluggished going up hills. Dont see any leaks. I have notice that a water pump I replaced 2 years ago is all rusted on the outside. Could that be a bad pump? Why would a water pump rust on the outside?
replace your water pump or top overhaul
Q:I had my timing belt replaced @ 80k (now have 138k) and was told by new mechanic that the water pump was not replaced then. Do I need to have pump replaced? What will happen if I don't? Thx
Since the water-pump must be removed to gain access to the timing belt it's a generally approved practice to replace it when the belt is replaced. In your case I wouldn't worry one bit if you've kept your cooling system serviced regularly. Water-pumps are quick and easy to replace at any time. If it would make you rest any easier, replace the pump the next time you change the timing belt.
