Q: Hello, I am shopping for solar panels for my home and there are so many to choose from. My house uses 40 Kw of power a day. If you had to choose from the output power of a solar panel from below, which one would you choose and why would you choose it? 2 Volts 4 Amps 48Watts2 Volts 8.5 Amps 02Watts6 Volts 7 Amps 2Watts24 Volts 4.2 Amps 00.8Watts24 Volts 8 Amps 95Watts
the two may well be extra effective. while it particularly is cloudy and little solar (wintry climate) you have got a breeze. while it particularly is nonetheless and sunny, you have the solar. while the batteries are charged, extra potential from the windmill would nicely be shunted right into a resistance heater in a water tank, preheating important different and infants water, reducing that cost. draw back of windmills: there is a few noise. you do choose a tower of a few variety to get above treeline. it particularly is mechanical, so it particularly is going to choose periodic upkeep and would injury, or will placed on out, or be broken in a windstorm. Panels will final for some years, in simple terms would desire to be wiped sparkling of snow interior the wintry climate, and washed off, in case you reside in a dusty section. they are hard, however the glass would nicely be broken.
Q: how fast does a 25watt solar panel generate power to a battery? trying to figure out a conversion factor here to get a rough estimate of how many i would need to power my house, please help?
To figure our how many you need, take a look at your power bill. It will tell you how many kilowatt/hours you used during the month. My bill says I use about 2000 kilowatt/hours per month, or about 2000 kwh /30 days=67 kw/h hours per day. That is 67,000 watt hours. To supply that with solar panels, you have to generate at least 67,000 watt hours, but you don't have a full day to do it, since you have to do it while the sun is up. So you put the energy into batteries during the day, so you can use it at night. A 25 watt panel generates about 25 watts when fully illuminated by the sun. If you fully illuminate it for an hour, you get 25 watt hours. If you get 2 hours of sunlight a day, that would seem to imply that I need 67000 watt hours/25 watts /2 hours=45 panels. But for most of the day, the sun isn't hitting the panel fully, so it isn't going to generate the full 25 watts. When the sun is 45 degrees to the side, you only get about 70%. When the sun is 60 deg to the side, you only get 50%. And what do you do on cloudy days? And the shorter days in the winter? To make up for this, you have to increase the number of panels to make up for the loss. So in reality, I might need double this number of panels, for realiable solar power throughout the year. That works out to about 90 panels, or ,250 watts worth for my house.
Q: I'm going to pitch an idead to my school about switching to Solar Energy. What are positive and negative effects of the solar panels? Also what is the cost for installing them into a highschool? How much would the electricity bill decline afterwards?
Solar panels can convert sunlight into electricity which can be used in daily life, solar panels utilize sunrays,it doesn't discharge any polluted gas,it is environment friendly,it is also cost effective, you can make money by sell the surplus electricity to your country, On question is that solar panles have to be use in where sun is abundent.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a warehouse or distribution center?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a warehouse or distribution center. In fact, these large, flat rooftops are often ideal locations for solar panel installations due to the ample space available for positioning the panels. The electricity generated by the solar panels can be used to power the operations of the warehouse or distribution center, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources and decreasing carbon emissions.
Q: I know there's different brands of solar panels and they cost different amounts. But if anyone know the average price of one solar panel could you help me out? Also could you please list the size of the solar panel.
Solar panels come in all sizes, from one that is in your calculator to 0 or 20 feet on a side. link has several examples with size and power. if you want more, search google for buy solar panel 00w or 200w or 50w to get a list with prices. .
Q: I am looking to wire in some solar panels into my home. I already have plenty of wiring, and some solar panels around. I just need to know what I need to do to wire them into my home so I can lower my electric bill. This past month it was six hundred dollars. Can someone direct me to some information, or tell me how without telling me to hire some guy to come out to charge me thirty thousand dollars to install two or three thousand dollars worth of equipment?
The essentials are to connect the panels in a configuration that matches the inverter. My system has twenty 24 volt panels in series, to an inverter that wants to see 480. They could have been in any series-parallel configuration to match an inverter that used different voltage. I chose the high voltage route to reduce IR losses in the connections. The proper inverter is essential on grid connected systems. It must be able to disconnect from the grid if grid power fails, and to come back on line automatically, and in phase. There has to be a fused disconnect between the panels and the inverter. When connecting to the grid, another fused disconnect is required. My power company was very specific about acceptable switches. Just using a good brand doesn't hack it. Lots of good info on solar panels in the green search box above on this page.
Q: My family moved into a house that came with solar power panels but they are not connected and don't really understand how to even begin.
You will need help with this. Panels may or may not be 24 volt. If you can find a name tag, you can find out from the manufacturer's web site. Some folks hook them all in parallel. Mine are in series, to create 480 volts. the reason for going to higher voltage is to reduce power loss in the wiring. Even then, I used a wire size larger than recommended. The frames want to be interconnected, and wired to ground. The live conductors connect through disconnect switches to an inverter. The inverter is sized to the output of the panels. Where the utility allows net metering, the inverters are connected through a disconnect switch to the grid, which of course also feeds the house. Assuming you are on the grid, you will not need batteries. If outages severely impact you, you can have batteries. Counting against them is that they are costly, and use part of the power you generate, just to keep them charged. If you have batteries, it is usually best to rewire circuits so noncritical circuits are disconnected during outages. Leaving perhaps minimal lighting, fridge, freezer and critical medical circuits. Learn all you can from the Internet (try solar panels), and from the green search box above. Be sure to see if your state has a rebate program, and the conditions which it requires.
Q: DIY, buying solar panels, room is barely 200 sq. ft. have a 5000 btu air conditioner, how many watts do I need, thinking of buying 75 watt solar panels, have space on the roof.
It may cost you about $650, you can also learn building it yourself so you can save much money...
Q: Are solar panels affected by shade?
Yes, solar panels are affected by shade. When a solar panel is partially shaded, it can experience a decrease in efficiency and generate less electricity. Shade can create "hot spots" on the panel, leading to the overall reduction in power output. Therefore, it is important to install solar panels in areas with minimal shade to maximize their energy production.
Q: Well my dad has been into Solar panels for quite a while, his birthday is coming up and i want to get him a small minature one, so he can toy around with it and be able to use it as expirience for when he gets a bigger one. my dad has been doing ALOT of studying, and i've been looking online but idk what kinda kits to get so should i get a 0w kit, 5w kit, or 20w kit? which one would be best to fool around with and play with? thanks
You should have your dad check out this site. Easy to learn and very effective. bit.ly/solar9WXBrw
