Q:HOW TO BECOME AN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTRACTOR EXCAVATION IN TEXAS?: Well, to become an environmental excavation first you have to be land. Oh, I think you mean excavator. Then you'd need excavation experience and excavation equipment (backhoes and such). You'd probably need certification of some kind. For government jobs (the most common) you'd probably need to bid on a project, and they take the best bid. Texas government sites should have specific information on this. Knowledge of soil types, environmental habitats, erosion control, etc. would be useful.

Q:I'm 20 years old, and almost two years ago, I worked in construction for 6 months. It wasn't house construction or road construction, though. the company I was with was building a landfill and after the excavators dug out a large enough area and the bulldozers graded it, I and the other labourers were responsible for laying out filter cloth and other various jobs across the area.however, I would like to get a job as a laborer like those guys that work on the roads. This time, I wouldn't have that luxery.: The best tips would be try the following 1) Google road construction companies in your area and apply directly to them via phone or email 2) See if there are road projects going on in your area and go down to the sites and speak to other labourers or foreman to get info on who does the hiring or how they got their jobs. Take a resume / CV with you to drop off just in case. 3) Speak to your dad see who he got the job through last time? 4) Get some training. To work on road sites it might help if you got some construction training or learnt how to operate a digger etc. 5) Register with Labour hire / Construction recruitment agencies? Q:the post are very rustic almost like a tree in half do they have to have concrete around like normal fencing because the posts are morticed for the rails i have a 3 ton excavator with a small bucket any advice from an expert would be highly appreciated: Cheap foreign labor? Q:Hi,Previous owner build a brick fence. About 2 feet high, 25 feet long, with about 1 foot deep concrete foundation. This was obviously not deep enough since I live in a cold region and now the fence looks realy bad, going from 2 feet high to 1.5 foot high in the middle!What do you think is the best way to remove all that ? (sledge hammer, rent a concrete saw or a jack hammer) ? I'll also have to get rid of all the bricks and concrete so i was wondering if I might as well have someone do it for me with some kind of excavator.Thanks!: Easiest if you plan to do it yourself is to rent a Bobcat with a bucket and a jackhammer tip. Use the pecker to break everything up and then put the bucket on for cleanup. Make sure you have good ear and eye protection. Works great. Good luck.

Q:My key broke in the backhoe ignition today and i have no idea how to get the cut part of the key out of the ignition switch my key broke in half and the caterpillar dealership sends out one of the trucks every three months but they came last month and i do not want to go and buy a new ignition switch i need to use the backhoe tomorrow and all other machines are being used tomorrow i have a 5230 excavator at the shop: Replace the switch... it will be fairly cheap in those. You could just by-pass the switch in the mean time. Pop the ignition switch out, there should only be two wires on that type of equipment, just jump them for now. Good Luck!
