- Q:I live in Illinois and am currently 15 years old, and am a pizza maker at a restaurant. I currently make pizzas and throw them in the oven. When will I be old enough to cut up vegetables and use a machine that makes the dough flat?? 16?? 18? 21?
- To use machinery and knives you generally need to be 18.
- Q:Why are hydraulic systems used in machinery such as bulldozers and backhoes, while pneumatic systems are used for things like opening and closing bus doors? Please provide a lot of detail, and examples!
- The biggest advantage is the amount of power in a given space. Hyd systems typically operate at 2000psi and up, compared to about 80psi for pneumatic. Also, since fluid is non compressible, the moement distance can be linear. Many aircraft, and industrial equipment now use electric servos instead of hydraulics. Biggest problem with hydraulics is leaks. 2nd biggest problem is continuous power consumption to the pump. Lots of air power is used in industry, so it is the easiest way to move or clamp anything, with nothing more than an air cylinder and a valve. Each system has it's place to do different things.
- Q:Do old-fashioned TV sets contain lenses in any part of their machinery?

- Q:i want to sell an unused candle maker
- The questions need to ask yourself are: - Is the weight of the product and corresponding freight cost going to be prohibitive for anyone bidding internationally or far from my local area? - Is my product too specialised for OKorder? - do I need a large national/international group of prospective buyers to ensure a sale? You may in fact be better off finding a more specialised sales platform. Good luck.
- Q:which industries use industrial robots, and which industries use industrial machinery?
- Pretty much all you see around you is packaged, assembled, built, etc. by robots. That's why hand made things are so expensive nowadays (at least in developed countries). Same for industrial machinery, since it allows the production of pretty much anything on large scale.
- Q:What were two results of the use machinery? Answer it!?
- Well it depends on the context. If you want to dig a hole, you reach for a spade to make the work easier. In industry, machinery : 1) made it possible to produce goods cheaper than making them by hand but 2) it meant that the workers lost the skills to do the work. It was the machinery that was actually doing the work, and the workers were only operating the machines.
- Q:What kinds of books do you need to study in mechanical design?
- Theoretical mechanics, material mechanics, mechanical principle, mechanical design, mechanical parts, hydraulic transmission, mechanical and electrical integration, etc.
- Q:I imported several machines some years ago from Japan,Taiwan and China. I would like to know if California sales tax is due on imported equipment.
- Sure. It is called Use Tax but is the same rate as Sales Tax.
- Q:if the company introduces new machinery and reduces its direct labour, how is the break even point affected?
- Fixed costs (depreciation of machinery) increase, Variable costs (wages) decrease ...
- Q:Does anyone know the process and machinery a Dye Works would have used in the 1900's?
