1.What is tower crane?
Tower crane is a modern form of balance crane that consist of the same basic parts. Fixed to the ground on a concrete foundation (and sometimes attached to the sides of structures as well), tower cranes often give the best combination of height and lifting capacity and are used in the construction site.
2. What is the meaning of the tower crane’s code?
Take Tower Crane TC6024 for example, the first two letters “TC” means Tower Crane, “60”means jib length is 60 meter, and the last two letter “24” means the tip load is :2.4 ton.

A tilt would mean greater force in the sling on the low end. The load could slip out, or the excess force could break the sling.

If the counterweights can't move, then the crane must be designed to hold (at least) the minimum counterweights in their fixed location. As the crane gets loaded, the net moment decreases, and then increases in the other direction as more and more load gets added. It is still likely that the maximum design moment when loaded far exceeds the moment due to the counterweights on an unloaded crane.

- Q: I'm talking about one of the ones where the cabin and the worker is high up in the air. You cant exactly remove a part of the bottom of the cranes structure because it would fall on top of you but you cant remove the cabin because its so high up and what can get up that high to remove it except another crane BUT how did that get built ?Thank you.

- forces for cranes are dynamic , so u'll have repeated cycles of compression tension ( i assume it's a trussed crane). but generaly for a cantilever , the main forces are -ve Bending Moment +ve shear which changes the rft. bars position if dealing with R.Concrete for example
