- Q:Im a wimp for pain and im looking to get my scaffolding done. i want to know how painful it isI already have both lobs pierced and stretched to an 8mm, will the pain be similar to that?
- Depends on your pain tolerance, it's different for everyone. But generally cartilage piercings feel nothing like getting piercings stretched.
- Q:hi, ive had my scaffolding for a little over a month now, and one of the holes has started going really weird. on the top, its swollen and sore on one side, and on the bottom, its the same but on the opposite side. not sure if its infected ir being rejected by ear, which ive heard can happen. i would like to keep it in if possible,as i love it. any help welcomed :) thanks xx
- I've also had my scaffolding and I had the same issue. It was totally normal, I went back to the peircing place and asked if this was regular for the piercing. They said it was and to proceed with the cleaning process etc. they said it just has scabs because its healing :)
- Q:I got an industrial/scaffold piercing a few months ago and currently have captive bead rings in (The piercer put those in after he pierced it). The piercings are now healed enough for me to change the piercing, and I found an industrial bar on ebay which I'd really like to order. Only problem is, it has two choices on the gauge thickness and length, and I don't know which mine is.The gauge sizes available are 1.2mm (16g) or 1.6mm (14g) , and the length options are 32mm, 35mm, 38mm.Does anyone know which would be the best to get? Thanks.

- Q:i got my scaffold piercing 4 days ago and it still hurtsit usually doesn't hurt when nothing touches it, but then with the lightest touch of a finger or anything else, it hurts badly.i just cleaned it with h2Ocean and a q-tip and now it hurts really bad. :|should it not be hurting by now? or is this normal.? if its normal.. how long until it heals/stops hurting like a *****. hah
- use warm water mixed with either sea salt or dial soap you can also use salen solution or H2o ocean spray. it's normal by the 2 or 3 week it should stop hurting

- They take around 6-9 months to heal completely...you shouldn't be taking it out at all. I stupidly took mine out after 3 months to clean a bit behind the bar and the bar would never go back through the top hole. It hurt like crap and bled profusely if I tried to push it through.

- Hi :) You can change it after 4 months usually But sometimes it can take up to a year It depends on the person , everybody's body heals differently You should go back to your piercer and ask if it's healed enough to change the jewellery Yep , it's normal A scaffold piercing goes through the cartilage and cartilage piercings can take up to a year to fully heal :)
- Q:What are the common rules for calculating the amount of scaffolding works
