- Use copper with diletric fittings and insulate them, and you'll never have a problem. Yes it will be expensive but it will be done once and done right. CPVC is good too as it's cheap, easy, and they'll never corrode. PEX or Shark Bite is even easier and may even be better than CPVC as you won't have to deal with messy adhesives and can be done in half the time.

- Cliff C had the dumbest answer on the market to date. If its actually pvc and not cpvc, cut out the section leaking and primer, glue, rplace. Ms lil bed rock is spot on in saying cpvc is totally diff. Different primer(usually clear) diff glue (orange). Set time for cpvc also tkes longer before H2O pressure can be applied

I am missing the sleeve of the compression fitting that goes into the pipe.what can i do other than buy another one to repair this line without the sleeve? I already have the fitting on the other part of the line so I don't want to change anything, just fix what's there
