- I would invest in a quality chest peace first. It’s the most important protector you can ware next to an athletic cup. For leg protection ware layers for now and upgrade as you can in time. A neck protector is a good idea also. Knee pads can be purchased at hardware stores. They are not as good as the paintball specific pads but they’ll do for now. If you can come up with a bit more, good slider pants are nearly a must if you’re a serious speedballer. But not as needed for woodsball. I have done some research so I kind of know what I can and can't use with the different products. Like obviously nothing plastic with the Amazing Glaze because it will melt. But it says with the Amazing Glaze it will be slightly yellow after drying. How bad is it? I am using antique gold and copper plated pewter pendants.
