Q: Hey All, So my family has been having trouble concerning my grandmother and grandfather and their possessions. They have both been placed in a nursing home, and at this point both are not both there.in non-scientific terms. But, a few months ago before their state deteriorated, my mother typed up a document that stated she would be in charge of their bank card, vehicle, etc. She had it signed by my grandmother, signed by a witness, and notarized. Is that considered official document making her the power of attorney? If so, does that mean anything listed in that document is now her responsibility? Thanks
She volunteered to do the job. So she does it or grandmother, (who you said was not home mentally) does it. I'm unsure of your question. Your mother has the Power of Attorney(POA). If she does not take care of the bills and grand parents affairs who is going to do it?
Q: I heard just today 7/11/08 that Indymac Bank closed, or crashed or something. Theoretically, if i owe a mortgage on a house through Indymac bank, because they went belly under i no longer owe them. Is this true? I heard that no one will want to buy the bank because they are in so much debt. Is that true? please post answers along with some evidence. So that i know its not an opinion.
WTF? There is no free lunch!! Your loan has already been pre-sold to a giant packager of loans who will sell them to Wall Street, (securitization) A servicer, payment collector, will contact you to let you know where to continue sending your payments to If I were you I would keep a very tight paper trail of monthly payments. Maybe even walking them down to the brick mortar branch itself, if they let you make payments that way
Q: A. he believed the Bank had no control over the country's money B. he distrusted the bank becuase he lost money in an investmentC. he believed the Bank was controlled by incompetent people D. he believed the back was unconstitutional
None of the above. He distrusted the bank because he knew the people like Henry Clay whom he considered to be corrupt and manipulative. He felt that money lending and banksters always found ways to steal and chisel from the common man without education. He would not have liked Zionist philosophy. He was a strict adherent of and honest days pay for an honest days work. He loved the commonman and was a grassroots politician. Plain people loved him.
Q: Aren't they giving the corporations and banks more power by giving the government more power? And then they want the corporate controlled government to create more regulations that will shut down small business so big business doesn't have to worry about competition.
A weak federal government is precisely why the large corporations own and control our Congress. It use to be illegal for US Congressional members to accept campaign donations, hard or soft, from a corporation. It use to be illegal for corporations to donate anonymously to any political campaign. It is use to be corporations were not considered people. Unregulated big money in politics has corrupted the entire political system. Pay for Play was never what was intended for public service.
Q: As a beginner in economics im not educated in this field. Why does the gov insure banks? As in what way(s) does it do this and what is it trying to protect or insure by doing so? Dont be afraid to go in detail if necessary as im very interested to hear what you have to say. Thanks yahoo chaters
So that we don't have another economic crisis like the great depression. ( at least that was the theory when it was begun)
Q: A 1500 hp phase ac motor load has a power factor of 0.7. What capacitor (in Farads) is required to correct the power factor to 0.90 if the line voltage is 2400 volts? The capacitor bank is to be delta connected.
This is more less an arithmetic problem. Here are the steps. 1. Determine R and L of the motor. You know power, voltage and PF. 2. Determine the desired load (Zload) in order to get an overall PF of .9. 3. Determine the required capacitance from you knowledge of Zload.
Q: I just bought a 2007 BMW 328i, on financing through a dealer. While signing the paperwork I also signed a power of attorney form. I don't remember what exactly it is. Can someone tell me what exactly it is. Dealer told me that it means, I am the owner of the car and no one can tow my car and blah blahwhich I do not understand. Please let me know what exactly it is.Thanks in advance.
I got a loan through a credit union to payoff a used car at a, dealership they made me sign a power of attorney letter. why
Q: I am doing a power point project for my business class in college. Was told to pick a company in the financial service area. For my part of the project I need to create a slide on the weaknesses of chase bank. What could cause chase to fall? What are some areas it is lacking? Etc. etc.
They deal in volume banking. They just want as many accounts as they can get, its all quantity and no quality. Poor customer service compared to other banks. Higher fees than other banks. Less one on one service, no personal bankers on personal checking. Long lines, because they have to few workers inside. Usually 1 person in the drive thru and the bank at the location I go to, its horrible
Q: A)to print and coin moneyB)the collection of taxesC)to provide and maintain a navyD)to establish national speed limits
D. to establish national speed limits Implied Powers - These are powers that are NOT specifically delegated in the Constitution, but are understood to be necessary or allowed. The elastic clause or necessary and proper clause allows these by stating that Congress has the power to make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers (art. I, sec. 8). Examples include: Hamilton's creation of the National Bank - no power to create banks is delegated the Federal Government, however it was deemed necessary and proper to form a bank to aid in Congress's power to coin money and regulate the economy. (see McCullough vs. Maryland 1819) Regulation of Railroads, Shipping, Highways - Congress is delegated the power to regulate interstate trade and as such it is implied that Congress also has the power to regulate interstate transportation by which interstate trade is made possible. (see Gibbons vs. Ogden 1824)
