FAQ:What's your products warranty?
- Q: Can solar panels be used for powering construction sites?
- Yes, solar panels can be used to power construction sites. They are a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional power sources, providing clean energy to run construction equipment, lighting, and other electrical needs on site. Solar panels can be installed on rooftops, scaffolding, or ground-mounted systems, and can help reduce reliance on fossil fuels while minimizing noise and emissions.
- Q: can a small solar panel be charged with lamps?
- Sure!...did you ever use a solar powered calculator indoors under a lamp?? It works just fine.
- Q: Can solar panels be used for powering water treatment plants?
- Yes, solar panels can be used for powering water treatment plants. Solar energy can be harnessed to generate electricity, which can then be used to power the various processes and equipment involved in water treatment plants. This environmentally-friendly approach helps reduce reliance on fossil fuels and contributes to sustainable water management practices.
- Q: I don't have a regulator connected as they are a little expensive for a pensioner, If I join the panels into line to the battery bank from the roof should that be OK.?
- You can do this, but it isn't the best way to go. There is no problem with joining the solar panels. There are two ways to do this, in series and in parallel. A series combination will add the voltages that each panel is producing together, but not the amperages. For example, if five panels are producing 6V at 300mA each, the end result will be 30V at 300mA for a series array. A parallel combination combines the amperages of all the panels, but not the voltages. So, in our earlier example, five panels at 6V and 300mA would provide 6V and 500mA (.5A) if wired in parallel. Series-parallel combinations are also possible, giving some of the benefits of each method. This would probably better understood by doing a quick search on Google Images for series, parallel, and series-parallel. You CAN connect the solar panels directly to your battery bank with no regulator. Unfortunately, without a regulator, the connection is two-way. When the sun is out and the solar panels are producing more voltage than the batteries, the batteries will charge. However, when the panels are producing less voltage than the batteries, the batteries will instead send power into the solar panels, which will be dissipated and wasted. The panels may charge your batteries during the day, but they will discharge them at night.
- Q: Can solar panels be installed on a billboard or signage?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on a billboard or signage. This allows for the generation of renewable energy and can help to offset electricity costs for the billboard or signage. Additionally, it promotes sustainability and reduces the environmental impact associated with traditional energy sources.
- Q: Exactly How much power will this kit produce? for example. Will it only be able to power the 2 light throughout an entire day or would it be able to power a couple TV's with a couple lights. Or a Refrigerator? washer dryer? I'm just wondering exactly what it will be able to do and if it's worth paying $200 for if it'll only power two lights. Don't get me wrong, That's great and will make a difference but i'm looking for something that will make a little bit of a bigger difference. Would the 80 watt monocrystalline solar panel be much better? if so, what would it be able to power? double?
- I don't have direct experience with the Harbor Freight panels, but have heard that they are agressively rated - i.e., the three 5-watt panels are really 5-watt panels. The 80-watt panel is likely to be a serious panel, rated according to standard test conditions. It will also be more durable, and probably have a warranty of 20 years or more. There's really no comparison. If your goal is to experiment with solar electricity, then get the kit from Harbor Freight (or Northern Tool, or any of a handful of other places). If your goal is to save money, generally you will need a larger scale than 80 watts - several thousand watts being the norm. And the payback time will be measured in years.
- Q: what is solar panel? full description needed?
- Solar panel refers to a panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of energy for generating electricity or heating.
- Q: Can solar panels be used for charging electric scooters?
- Yes, solar panels can be used for charging electric scooters. By connecting the solar panels to an appropriate charge controller and then to the scooter's battery, solar energy can be harnessed and stored to power the scooter, providing a clean and renewable source of energy. However, the efficiency of solar panels may vary depending on various factors such as the size of the panel, sunlight availability, and the scooter's power requirements.
- Q: how would you build a solar panel
- i'd go to the solar panel store and buy one. It would be /0 the cost of trying to build one in my HOME shop.
- Q: Can solar panels reduce electricity bills?
- Yes, solar panels can reduce electricity bills. By harnessing solar energy to generate electricity, homeowners can offset a portion or even all of their electricity consumption from the grid, leading to lower electricity bills.
