FAQ1
We have organized several common questions for our clients, may help you sincerely:
1.What price for each watt?
It depends on the quantity, delivery date and payment terms,
2.How do you pack your products?
We have rich experience on how to pack the panels to make sure the safety on shipment when it arrives at the destination.
- Q: I am interested in installing a home solar panel system. In my city, we get a little over 5 hours of sun, and I typically use about 800-900 kwh per month. The available roof space is small- approximately 600 sqft. The online calculators provided on various sites are not uniform, thus providing inconsistent responses with the same input data.I think I need a 5kw system approximately. Can anyone verify that and provide a link for a reasonably priced system to meet my needs? Prefer grid-tied, but off-grid is acceptable as well. Thanks!
- And at what tilt? Are there trees, poles, or buildings that cast a shadow on the roof at any time? Is the space clear of vent pipes (these can be moved, but it's extra work and cost)? Probably your best move is to contact a solar installer, and get a free quote on a system. Have them quote a system that you own, not a lease. They will do an analysis of your home, which will be very valuable even if you decide not to use a professional. If there are no professional installers in your area, that's an indication that your area may not be good for solar.
- Q: Can solar panels be used in areas with high levels of air turbulence or strong winds?
- Yes, solar panels can be used in areas with high levels of air turbulence or strong winds. However, it is essential to ensure that the solar panel installation is designed and mounted properly to withstand these conditions. The panels should be securely fastened and angled correctly to minimize the impact of strong winds. Additionally, using durable and wind-resistant materials for the solar panel structure is important to ensure their longevity in such areas.
- Q: I have a small marine solar panel on my boat It came with the boat. I want to make sure it is working before I connect it. With a volt meter It is only reading .2 volts dc. I would think it should be 2-5 volts?
- Mark, the 2 vdc is pretty typical. Most panels for home use are set up to charge 2 volt batteries, and they are wired for an, open circuit voltage of 8 to 9 volts. This allows it to have enough voltage to feed through a few diodes, perhaps a charge controller and 30 or 40 feet of wire and still have at least 5 volts left over. Once you connect it to the battery the panel will drop to whatever the batteries charging curve voltage would be. If you have a few minutes, I would suggest getting a book at the library called, The Complete Battery Book, by Richard Perez. Just read the chapters pertaining to lead acid batteries, the other discussions on lithium, ni cads and such won't apply to your boat system. If your panel is not large, and it's short circuit current rating in amps is less than 2% of the amp hour capacity of the battery, you can even run the panel without a charge controller. The book explains this as well. There is a great magazine that gets into the nuts and bolts of this stuff, it's called Home Power, you can find it online. You might also find some info at a couple renewable energy websites, I will list them below. Panels are rated in two ways, open circuit voltage, which you measure with a multimeter while the panel is in open sun and nothing is connected to it. The other rating is short cirucuit current, which you measure with an ammeter while the panel is in the sun as well. You connect the ammeter across the output of the panel and let all the power short right through the meter, so you'll need an ammeter big enough to handle more amps than the panel puts out. A 0 amp unit will work for your boat panel. These tests won't hurt the panel, or the meters, we do it all the time in the field, and the manufacturers will tell you to do the same test if you have a problem with a panel and they want to know if it's malfunctioning. You can check one of their websites if you like. Good luck Mark, and take care, Rudydoo
- Q: Can solar panels be installed on billboards?
- Yes, solar panels can be installed on billboards. In fact, many companies are utilizing this option to generate renewable energy and reduce their carbon footprint. By harnessing solar power, billboards can become self-sustaining and contribute to a greener environment.
- Q: Do solar panels work in cloudy weather?
- Yes, solar panels can still generate electricity in cloudy weather, although their efficiency may be reduced compared to sunny conditions.
- Q: I have a solar panel, charge regulator, inverter....is that all I need to tie it into my grid? Do I just plug the solar panel into the charge regulator into the inverter into any 0v outlet? I feel like im missing something....
- No don't do that unless you want a fire or worse electricution . DO NOT PLUG INTO THE WALL . st solar panel 2nd regulator 3rd 2 volt battery 4th inverter . The inverter should have 0 volt terminals that look like the plug on the wall . You would plug your TV or light into that the inverter . You would need an electrition to hook into your home electrical system . They will hook up a device made to tie into the grid or your meter that will make it run backwards but it takes alot of solar panels too do that . Please do not plug into wall .
- Q: Can solar panels be used for powering outdoor lighting?
- Yes, solar panels can be used for powering outdoor lighting. Solar panels capture sunlight and convert it into electricity, which can then be stored in batteries. This stored energy can be used to power outdoor lighting fixtures, making them independent of the grid and environmentally friendly.
- Q: Thinking about getting a solar panel installed but i'm worried about getting the govt. rebates. There is a Federal Tax credit and a State of Florida rebate and i'm wondering what the time frame is for getting the rebates. Has anyone gotten a solar panel installed recently that could give me more info. Thanks!
- Do not count on getting the rebate soon or if at all. You should get on the list and wait until the funds are released. Good luck. Summary: Note: There is currently a waiting list for rebates from the Solar Energy Incentives Program. This program has received $5 million in federal funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). This funding will be used to award rebates to some of the systems that are on the waiting list. The state has applied for an additional $9.4 million in federal funding for this rebate program. Systems applying for the rebate at the present time will be placed on the waiting list. If additional federal funded is received, the approved applications will be awarded rebates based on the order in which they were received. FY 2009-200 is the last year of the solar rebate program and the last year the program could be funded under current authorizing statute. Florida's Solar Energy System Incentives Program was established in June 2006 (SB 888) to provide financial incentives for the purchase and installation of solar energy systems from July , 2006, through June 20, 200. A total of $2.5 million was available for FY 2006-2007; $3.5 million was available for FY 2007-2008, and $5 million is available for FY 2008-09.
- Q: Can solar panels be used in areas with high levels of wind-blown debris?
- Yes, solar panels can be used in areas with high levels of wind-blown debris. However, it is important to install the panels in a way that minimizes the impact of the debris. This can be achieved by using protective measures such as installing wind deflectors or choosing panels with stronger frames and tempered glass. Regular maintenance and cleaning may also be required to ensure optimal performance in such conditions.
- Q: Can anyone give me a simple but informative explanation on how solar panels produce electricity/power? Thank you!
- solar panel absorb sunshine , and it will produce electric charger, the charger move to one direction, it wil produce electric current, so it produce electricity. the electricity can through cable move to solar battery to store or to country power grid to provide electricity for people using.
