- Q: Is the fluorescent sticker a reflective film?
- After removing the light source, the fluorescence is not visible, because of the more conspicuous, often used during the day;
- Q: death by penguins? balloons? what?
- First of all, in most jurisdictions, a year and a half is too late to claim injury damages, and I was scared isn't an excuse unless someone was holding a gun to her head to stop her from calling a lawyer. Second, she has to prove it, not just claim it. Looks to me, based on the information you provided, that if the truck wasn't damaged (which your insurance company will know about better than anyone else) and there wasn't a police report (aka no record of anything happening at all), she's going to have a really hard time making any kind of case. Third, if she were to bring this into a court of law, she'd get laughed out of the courtroom, and no attorney in his right mind would take it. Frankly, I'm really surprised she found an attorney to take it to the insurance company it's probably a relative of hers or something. Lastly, I don't think she will get anywhere with this with the insurance company either. Even if she had some proof, insurance companies are very, very good at not paying people, and there's no way they'll entertain her story without any proof and almost two years later. I don't think you have anything to worry about but your insurance company will handle it for you, and trust me, they won't pay her without something more than what she's got.
- Q: The other day the supply lines made of galvanized iron where all wet dripping, what is causing that?Is that very high condensation, the fittings are leaking, or are the pipes themselves leaking?I was thinking about replacing them with CPVC instead of copper. I have never used CPVC before, so what's your take?
- It depends on your Dog 1. Is there a possibilty that he will pee on it? 2. Will he chew it? 3. Will he chew the wire connected to it? If any answer to the above questions is YES, then DONT use it. One of my Dog just loved chewing on wires, so we had to keep all wires, plugged in or not, out of reach.

- Making a Kaleidoscope INTRODUCTION Kaleidoscopes use reflections to make beautiful patterns. This experiment involves making a basic kaleidoscope. MATERIALS Mylar with reflective coating Cardboard Tracing paper Plastic film Cellophane tape Double-sided cellophane tape Sequins WHAT TO DO Cut 3 cardboard pieces and 3 pieces of Mylar (2 x 4). Attach cardboard pieces to Mylar using double-sided tape. Tape these three pieces together with mirror surfaces facing inside. Cut an equilateral triangle piece of cardboard that will fit on the end of the kaleidoscope. Punch a hole in the center of this piece of cardboard before attaching. Make two other equilateral triangles of the same size from the tracing paper and the plastic film. Use cellophane tape to enclose two sides of triangle. Add sequins to the pouch made from the tracing paper and film. Attach this to the end of the Kaleidoscope with tracing paper on the exterior of the scope. Hope this helps!
- Q: I've just moved to NZ about 2 months ago,i'm planning to buy a car.The car that I want to buy has a very low ground clearance.I'm just wondering,are the road coinditions in New Zealand good ? Are there potholes and tall speed bumps like in UK ?
- It's either an allergic reaction or irritation bumps. Take some benadryll, use a topical cream if you have one and just wait.
- Q: Last October, I was fired from a small botique for supposedly stealing something. I was told over the phone, and didn't really get a chance to explain myself thoroughly. I never recieved my last pay check either. I most certainly didn't steal the dress (it was two sizes too big for me, common now) but was fired becuase one of the other girls said I did it. Everytime I think about it, I get really upset. My confidence was pretty ruined by this experience, not to mention I was out of a job. Do you think emotional distress and being fired under false pretenses (is that what you call it?) without recieving my last paycheck is grounds for a law suit?
- They will be fine since they're babys. If both male, when older they may try to fight for territory. But females are usually fine together, but I have been told that 2 males will also do fine. I had 2 females and they slept together to. Never had a male cornsnake, but for now they'll be fine. You would have to ask someone if males fight for territory.
- Q: When constructing the mirrored surfaces for telescopes, I've read of the painstaking efforts involved in producing the glass to exacting dimensions/surface roughness, and then depositing the reflective coating on the surface. Manufacturer's are at/near the limits on the size of glass that can be produced, resulting in some other approaches used to work around the limitationssuch at the telescope that uses multiple hexagonal mirrors (name?) instead of a single large mirror.My question is (and it's probably obvious, but I'm not seeing it), why must glass be used as the substrate? Could not many other materials be used (which don't have the manufacturing limitions that glass possesses), and then the surface mirrored? I would think telescopes of huge appatures could be produced, without the tremendous time and expense of working with glass. Again, I'm sure I'm missing the obvious reason(s) that's not done! I appreciate your time for reading/responding!
- You can buy mylar plastic tht has a reflective coating. It is bendable and would never shatter like glass.
- Q: I just watched this and think it's really cool. How do they morph people like this? What do you think about it?
- I have one of each in A-Bolts and either is fine. The stainless is a matte subdued finish (never seen a reflective stainless barrel on a hunting rifle). Your barrel/rifle material has really no bearing on accuracy,that is the combination on COL,powder and bullet weight,barrel harmonic. If you are using factory ammo in your stainless then you just found a good load for that rifle. I hand load and get Sub-MOA from both mine and most other reloading do same. Advantage stainless has is in harsh environments;it gives you a little more margin against corrosion,but you still have to care for the rifle and clean/oil/store properly. As for aesthetics, I like both looks in certain rifles;like the A-Bolt Stainless Stalker or Tikka Stainless/Laminate looks fine and a CZ 550 American,Ruger No.1 or Weatherby V looks best in blue/walnut. Game animals don't see colors the same as humans do,so having either makes no difference-would just look same to them.
- Q: We have a portable dishwasher and when I use it, the power cord becomes very hot and the metal plugs will almost burn your fingers. This also happens when I use the our electric heater (it looks like a radiator), which is in another room, for more than a few minutes.I also plugged the microwave in on a different circuit, and seconds after turning the microwave on, the fuse blew. I changed the fuse, but the outlet wouldn't work. My husband took the outlet apart, there were no burned or broken areas on the outlet. He replaced it with a new one, but the outlet still won't work. Every other outlet on that circuit works, only the one where the microwave was plugged in won't work.I think we have faulty wiring. My husband thinks the problem is in the fuse box.The house was built in the late 1950's. The previous owners installed a breaker box which runs the basement, and some of the house outlets. The rest of the house uses the fuse box.The water heater, furnace, A/C, washer and drier use the breaker box.
- Only thing I can think of is one is not plugged in right, as they are all looped together, you may have plugged one backwards or is there a low voltage transformer powering them, check that
- Q: I was making some deep fried shrimp and thought i had turned off the stove when i was done. but i didn't and the pan ought on fire and my heart almost drooped when i saw it. I didn't know what to do so i put it in the sink and turned on the water careful not to get near the flames. but that only made it worst as the flames rose to the roof when it water hit the pan and i started panicking telling everyone to get out the house which was filled with smoke at that point. luckily the house didn't catch on fire. So my question is what to do next time this happens? like to stop the fire without getting burned? and we do not own a fire extinguisher or can afford one so any thing i can do to stop it by my self without the risk of getting burned? PLZ HELP
- Yeah actually. It already exists. There's a place that pokes small holes in the ozone layer to send a signal into space for whatever reason. I don't remember why. From the program I watched about it people were complaining because it would actually be possible to turn the signal up, keep it constantly beaming, and the ozone layer would simply be boiled away eventually. And that of course would eventually mean the end of life one earth except for subsurface fungus and marine life that relies on underwater volcanic jets. Besides that, we could also produce massive explosions designed to deposit reflective particles into the atmosphere, and after they surrounded the earth they would block out enough sun to send us into another little ice age like the one around the 1730's to 1810's or so. If we put enough reflective material into the atmosphere, we could start a chain reaction in which the lack of sunlight creates a little ice age, and then the overabundance of ice creates white, reflective surfaces that reflect even more sunlight, and on and on until we're in a real ice age and most everything dies off. EDIT The little ice age was caused by reflective particles released by a volcano. It's eruption was 100 times greater than Mt. Saint Helens when it erupted in 1989. Incidentally, when Mt. Saint Helens blew, it put more pollution into the air than mankind has in his entire existence. So if people think we're going to destroy the environment with a big carbon foot print, they've got their math wrong. Humans account for less than 1% of all the carbon produced. The other 99+% is created by the earth.
