- Q: How do you clean clogged plastic tubes?
- To clean clogged plastic tubes, you can start by removing any removable parts such as filters or screens and rinsing them under hot water. Then, use a plunger to create suction and try to dislodge the clog by vigorously plunging the tube. Alternatively, you can use a long, flexible brush or a pipe cleaner to maneuver through the tube and loosen the blockage. If these methods do not work, you may need to use a chemical cleaner specifically designed for unclogging plastic pipes, following the instructions on the packaging carefully.

- Q: I remember when I was a kid my mother had a bunch of different cake decorating tubes in various colors and I'm pretty sure she still has them - and may use them, lol! OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but seriously, how long can I keep and use those little plastic squirt tubes of colored icing that you use to decorate cakes and cookies - realistically? Thanks!
- Those tubes you are referring to are icing. I am sure they must have preservatives in them to make them last longer. I think there should be a date on the tube which would say. Best if used by..... I know that with my buttercream icing, which I make at home, It will stay good on the counter top for about 2 weeks. I wouldn't want to eat it after that. If your icing tubes were kept in the freezer you could keep them for a year or more.
- Q: Im making moonshine but not for drinking for fuel. I know that its a bad idea to distill with plastic if your gonna drink it but will it be ok for fuel?
- if the plastic can withstand fairly constant temperatures around 180 degrees, then yes. the drawback is plasitc is not a very good heat conductor, and the tubing used in distlling is usually used to allow the hot alcohol to condense back into liquid. metal does this really well, and plastic is an insulator, so it will likely take MUCH more plastic tubing to cool the vapors.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for arts and crafts?
- Yes, plastic tubes can definitely be used for arts and crafts. They can be cut, painted, decorated, and glued together to create various projects such as sculptures, jewelry, and even functional items like pencil holders or vases. - Q: ive been spending a fortune lately on my hamsters..so my partners asked me to stop buying them things for a couple of weeks..but i really want some tubes for my hamsters anybody got some old ones they dont want anymore..that could give me for cheap??
- go to a hard ware store and find a plastic tube for plumbing i bought 5 of them for 50 cents each. it was cheap and they last a long time, they are also too hard to chew so they cant eat them, that way you wont need to keep buying tunnels and you can just save up change.
- Q: when u have laproscopic surgery do they stick a tube down your throat. if so what does it help do.?
- Laparoscopic surgery, also called minimally invasive surgery (MIS), bandaid surgery, keyhole surgery, or pinhole surgery is a modern surgical technique in which operations in the abdomen are performed through small incisions (usually 0.5-1.5cm) as compared to larger incisions needed in traditional surgical procedures. .Laparoscopic surgery also referred to as minimally invasive surgery describes the performance of surgical procedures with the assistance of a video camera and several thin instruments. During the surgical procedure, small incisions of up to half an inch are made and plastic tubes called ports are placed through these incisions. The camera and the instruments are then introduced through the ports which allow access to the inside of the patient. The camera transmits an image of the organs inside the abdomen onto a television monitor. The surgeon is not able to see directly into the patient without the traditional large incision. The video camera becomes a surgeon’s eyes in laparoscopy surgery, since the surgeon uses the image from the video camera positioned inside the patient’s body to perform the procedure Benefits of minimally invasive or laparoscopic procedures are less post operative discomfort since the incisions are much smaller quicker recovery times shorter hospital stays earlier return to full activities much smaller scars there may be less internal scarring when the procedures are performed in a minimally invasive fashion compared to standard open surgery. The ET (endotracheal tube) is usually inserted thru your throat into the trachea.which can be hooked up to a ventilator for respirations during surgery.
- Q: I have a number of plastic tubes of differing sizes that I need to sand the full length of the inside of. The smallest one is less than a centimeter in diameter. I have some long paintbrush handles that fit very well inside, so I've tried to wrap sandpaper around them and insert them into the tubes, but I don't know of a way to sufficiently attach the sandpaper to the brush handles (and getting rolled up sandpaper stuck inside a thin plastic tube is VERY difficult to remove, let me tell you...). Can anyone offer me any help on this?
- we could be of better help if we new what you were doing.im a cntractor 50 years.
