- Q: Please tell me the pipe diameter: plastic pipe Phi 25, is it equal to DN20?
- DN for nominal diameter, the so-called nominal diameter is people's accustomed to the name, such as the outer diameter of 106 of the tube is DN100.
- Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to staining or discoloration?
- Plastic tubes are generally resistant to staining or discoloration, as they are non-porous and do not easily absorb substances that could cause discoloration. However, certain chemicals or substances with strong pigmentation may potentially cause some staining or discoloration over time.
- Q: How do you seal plastic tubes?
- There are a few common methods to seal plastic tubes, depending on the specific requirements and materials used. One popular approach is heat sealing, where the open end of the tube is heated until it melts and then pressed together to create a tight seal. Another method is using adhesive or glue to bond the edges of the tube, ensuring it is securely sealed. Additionally, some tubes may come with pre-fitted caps or closures that can be easily snapped or screwed on to seal the contents.
- Q: I need to connect some flexible plastic tubing to a hard plastic nozzle both 3/8 outer diameter. It needs to be able to be attached and detached easily (like screwing it in or something), and the seal between them needs to be water tight. Anybody have any ideas? Are there any couplers that can do this easily?. I'd rather not thread the inside of the hard plastic nozzle, but if thats the only way, how do I do that?
- Use a hose clamp.

- Q: Can anybody tell me what the plastic tubes/lines are that run along the under body of my 2003 GLI? I was driving down the highway the other day, and a Semi truck dropped a big chunk of ice off of it and I took a shot to my under body. When I got home I checked under neath and notice it dented my fuel filter pretty back and pinched a white plastic hose that was next to the fuel filter. I followed the line and it goes into my rear pass. wheel well. I looked in the owners manual but I can't find anything on these lines that are under there. Some are blue and some are white. Anybody know what it is? I unkinked the hose and everything seems to be running fine, I'm assuming it's some type of vent, maybe for the gas tank, but I've never seen anything like this before, and I'm kind of confused why they would run something like that under the body of a car that sits so low to begin with. I would really like to know what these lines are. Thanks!
- Ok, There are three lines one black white and green! Two are fuel lines one is fuel feed line and the other is return line to the tank! The other is a vent line or evap line! So I would check them out very closely for damage! If you look under your hood to the right of the coolant bottle are said lines you can follow each one ond see where it goes and what it goes to! Hope this helps.
- Q: Are plastic tubes recyclable?
- Yes, plastic tubes are recyclable. However, it is important to check with your local recycling facility to ensure that they accept plastic tubes for recycling, as some facilities may have specific guidelines or limitations.

- To prevent plastic tubes from yellowing, it is recommended to store them away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Additionally, using UV protective coatings or additives can help maintain their clarity and prevent yellowing over time. Regular cleaning with mild detergent and avoiding exposure to chemicals or harsh cleaners can also contribute to preserving the tubes' appearance.
