Do it all the time.
Q: I'm assuming that toothpaste tubes are made of a metal of some sort but i'm not sure what the exact material used is?does anyone know and why?
Toothpaste tubes are made from three basic materials: aluminum, plastic, and glue. Typically, toothpaste tubes have outer and inner layers of polyethylene, a plastic, with a layer of aluminum foil glued between them. The inner plastic layer does not react chemically with the active ingredients in toothpaste.
Q: I'm would like to buy this in store and not online. Please let me know of where you think this item might be available for purchase. Thanks
try united states plastic corp.
Q: Are plastic tubes easy to install?
Yes, plastic tubes are generally easy to install due to their lightweight and flexible nature. They can easily be cut to the desired length and connected using fittings, making installation quick and hassle-free.
Q: i have a top fin 30 filter, and i was wondering should bubbles be coming out of the clear plastic tube?
Alex, If you have a Top Fin filter which you hang on the outside of your tank while the tube is inside the tank, then no you shouldn't be seeing bubbles. You could have connected the extension tube incorrectly into the energizer well. Try removing it and replacing it again. This should allow the intake tube to pull water up and through the filter. You probably already know this - but remember to add water to the top of your filter so the filter will begin operating correctly. If you still have problems, go through your instruction booklet again...:) (Nosoop4u has a great suggestion as well..) Have a good day!
Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for outdoor signage?
No, plastic tubes are not suitable for outdoor signage as they may not withstand harsh weather conditions and can easily fade or deteriorate over time.
Q: What is the maximum pressure plastic tubes can handle?
The maximum pressure that plastic tubes can handle depends on various factors such as the type of plastic, dimensions of the tube, and its intended use. However, in general, plastic tubes can typically handle pressures ranging from a few hundred to several thousand pounds per square inch (psi). It is essential to consult the specific manufacturer's guidelines and specifications to determine the maximum pressure tolerance for a particular type of plastic tube.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for swimming pool covers?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for swimming pool covers. These tubes are often used to support the cover and keep it in place, preventing debris from entering the pool.
Q: I recently bought my house in the dead of winter while there was snow on the ground. The snow has recently melted and revealed that there is about a 6-8 inch plastic tube sticking out of a hole in my lawn. Anyone have any idea of what it is? It is flush with the grass and close to the sidewalk.
It's probably a vent for a drain line that drains runoff from the sidewalk away from the house. If you dug down, you'd find a length of perforated plastic pipe running parallel to the sidewalk, and out into the street or into a storm drain. In heavy rains it keeps water from pooling at the edge of the sidewalk.
Q: How does using a plastic tube instead of a rubber tube affect the rate at which water flows through it?
Rubber has a rougher texture, so there is more friction. Rubber wets and plastic doesn't, so there is more viscosity due to adhesion. Those effects reduce the flow rate for a given pressure.
