- you can get the coupler and glue from the shop where you bought the pipe. simply clean the edges of the pipe and apply some glue around the pipe and push it into the coupler
- Q: I would like to connect a Maytag icemaker valve to 1/4 plastic tubing. This is not for use in an actual ice maker. I've tried using a compression fitting from Home Depot, but it leaks between the tubing and fitting. Using the collar and insert pieces don't make a difference.Any idea on how to securely connect this two parts?
- the parts do have to be wrench tightened on the compression fittings. I find if you put a little teflon thread compound on the parts as you assemble them it will prevent any leaks. remember to cut back the tubing you have already tried before because it will be deformed.
