- There may be several reasons you were unable to resolder your joint. If there is water in the line dripping into the joint, You didn't clean the joint properly or you didn't use a flux. Depending on your soldering skills, you may find it easier to cut the old joint out and replace it with two couplings, a couple of pieces of 1/2 copper and a new elbow. Remember to clean the copper and use soldering flux or your joints will leak. If your soldering skills are in question then they do make compression fittings that slip over the 1/2 copper and tighten with a couple of wrenches. You still need two couplings, two short pieces of 1/2 copper and a new elbow. Check with the staff at Lowes or Home Depot for assistance if you not sure what to buy. Compression fittings are really easy to work with. Sorry but there really isn't a cement that will fix your problem properly

- Yes they will. Just be sure to cut the pipe very straight and ensure a good grab from the shark-bite. I have used them on 3/4 poly piping and have had good results. Good luck

- i dont think pbr should make it a rule. one, bull riders know the dangers of the sport, if they werent aware of it and didnt want to take the risk, they would be doing it. - I agree that the allowable pressure for a 3/4 piece of sch 40 pipe is about 2000 psi but that can vary depending on the type of manufacture. Some galvanized pipe is seamless and most is not seamless. That can make a difference as can the temperature at which the pipe is operating. The type and rating of any fittings are also a factor. You can get fitting with a nominal rating of as little as 150 psi to over 2000 psi.

- Hi, Yes, electrical safety gloves will keep you safe but don't forget to wear an earthing strap to avoid static electricity damaging the pc components. The max voltage from a psu is only 12 volts so unless you touch the inside on the mains current you will be perfectly safe without the gloves. I have constructed dozens of pc's and never ever had a shock from any yet!! As I believe you are in the USA your mains voltage is only 110volts anyway so that should be safer than the UK at 240v.
