- Q:I was wondering if they create other forms of energy besides electrical that is unwanted. Like heat due to the friction of something, or sound. Also why is a solar panel not able to collect 00% of the energy that is striking its panels. And how could the efficiency of this be hypothetically improved.
- Inability to generate electricity in the absence of light especially at nights or on a rainy day. secondly, it has an inability to store power.

- Graham is on the right track. However, you need to factor in a 80% DC to AC conversion loss. But yes a 0W CFL is about the size of it... Harbor Freight sells a system consisting of panels, battery, inverter, and TWO CFL's for $250. (You can power 2 CFL's off the grid for a very long time for $250)

In use, you need special electronics, called a Maximum Power Tracker (MPT) controller, which adjust the load to get the most power from the panel, and adjust the voltage output via a DC-DC converter to the optimal conditions to charge the attached battery. how to take batteries as per solar wattage ? sorry, don't understand this.
