- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for plumbing applications?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for plumbing applications. Plastic pipes, such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or PEX (cross-linked polyethylene), are commonly used for various plumbing purposes, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and waste pipes. They offer several advantages such as being lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and cost-effective. However, it is important to use the appropriate type and size of plastic tube that meets the specific requirements of the plumbing application.
- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for storing paints or coatings?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for storing paints or coatings. They are often made from durable materials such as polyethylene or polypropylene which can effectively contain and preserve the paint or coating. Additionally, plastic tubes are lightweight, easy to use, and can be tightly sealed to prevent air or moisture from entering and damaging the contents. However, it is important to ensure that the plastic is compatible with the specific type of paint or coating being stored to avoid any chemical reactions or degradation.
- Q: What are the advantages and disadvantages of PPR plastic pipes compared with steel pipes?
- Power cost;4, corrosion resistance: with good acid, alkali, chemical resistance, electrical resistance, good corrosion resistance, the use of pitting will not occur;5 、 easy to install: flexible connection, rubber ring seal, easy installation, good sealing;6, long life: under normal working conditions, the service life of up to 50 years;7, non-toxic hygiene: in line with drinking water standards, the transmission of water from the two pollution;8, low cost: transportation and installation costs low, material costs cheaper, the total cost of the project than the cast iron pipeline savings of 30%.
- Q: I have a pond pump and standard aquarium plastic tubing. I will be drilling tiny holes in equal increments throughout the tubing to release the air. Is there an equation to show the air pressure that will be released through the holes? I would like to know how many holes I need and how far to space them to achieve a certain amount of air pressure to be released from a specified length of tubing. This is a test and will not be done under water. A simple diffuser will not work for this application.Ideally I would like a formula where I can input the following and get a result:Tube LengthTube DiameterPump PSITube Hole SizeTube Hole QuantityTube Hole SpacingResultAirflow per Tube HoleAny help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more information please let me know.Thank you,
- The flow rate under water will be quite different from the rates in air. Unless all holes are at the same horizontal level the flow rates will vary. As a general rule, the total cross sectional area of all holes must be below 14% of the cross sectional area of the tube to ensure equal flow from each hole along a long length of tube. Along with the pump PSI (What sort of pump? Diaphragm, piston, centrifugal?) the maximum out put is also a factor. If it is a positive displacement pump the full capacity will be distributed through whatever holes are available with the pressure increasing to achieve this.. hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/Hba...
- Q: I make models and the plastic that winds up in the trash could be reused if only I knew how to glue it. I have tried all of mine (401, epoxy, Loctite, Gorilla Glue, etc) to no avail.
- I use E-6000 clear glue for almost everything. I am a sewer and needed some weights so I used this glue on huge metal washers putting two of them together for more weight. I have had these weights for quite a few years. The trick to this glue is to let is set. According to the label is it flexible, paintable, non-flammable, waterproof, safe for photographs, etc. I would suggest not using this in an enclosed area for any length of time. Good luck - Hope that helps.
- Q: How is dialysis tubing different from the plasma membrane? Give two reasons.
- dialysis tubing is a thin plastic tube that is compared to the plasma membrane. dialysis tubing is not a part of cells, it is a plastic prop used for experiments such as testing selective permeability. so there alot of differences, the main one being that the plasma membrane is actually in cells, where as dialysis tubing just reinacts what the cell membrane does.
- Q: just curious about commerce. . .
- Because they are not making plastic tube radios anymore. Human bones are made all the time.
- Q: I went to buy a plastic water bottle that has a tube inside that you frezee, and keeps the water cold they don't have anymore they sold like hot bread. I been looking everywher, and only found a place Alibaba that sells them wholesale only. A Hello kitty in OKorder which is not the one I want . If anybody knows wher I can buy i will appreciate a link or name of the place.
- You can keep water cold without having to use the frozen tube. Just buy a double wall insulated bottle and that should do the trick. If you want an extra layer of insulation, you can always add on an insulation sleeve too.
- Q: Should I use them or take them off. They are currently on my strings, but my two lower strings sound really bad.
- I don't know what they're called and I don't play violin but I've seen them. They fit on the string where it passes over the bridge. I usually see them on the E string and I suspect it's to control the shrill highs. If they sound bad on your instrument, don't use them.
- Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to moisture?
- Yes, plastic tubes are generally resistant to moisture.
