Q: I remember 35 years ago, when all the uproar was made about aluminum or metal filings were found inside toothpaste tubes. %Health issues were raised about the residual filings in the base of toothpaste tubes for people who press the last nth of toothpaste from the tube.I'm researching about this concern in the plastic and other material-type tubes used nowadays. How SAFE / secure can we be (is there a watchdog org?) to Q.C. this safety-issue in the commercial brands of toothpaste nowadays?I use a tube-wringer on my toothpaste tubes so I get the last nth of toothpaste from each tube and I am curious how SAFE a practice this is.
There's no way to remove all toxins from anything manufactured. If however, you are simply brushing your teeth with the toothpaste and not actually consuming it, I think you'll be ok. Afterall, the metal, aluminum or plastic filings (if swallowed) would only pass through your digestive course. Should harm occur it would likely be in a circumstance where there was already an issue, i.e. ulcers, diverticuli, etc. On the other hand, if you WERE to ingest fluoridated toothpaste you could become gravely ill on consumption of fluoride alone. Long story short: I think you'll be ok.
Q: My 98 Stratus 2.4L 4 cyl is dripping clear clean water on the passenger side and has accumulated water in the blower motor area. How can I clean out the drain? Where is the drain?
The drain will be on the passenger side, towards the bottom of the firewall. It should be below the 2 heater hoses that go intot he heater core. On yours, I think it was just a tube coming out of the firewall, it will have a foam gasket around the platic tube. The tube will protrude from the firewall just a little bit. Some have a 90 degree rubber elbow on the end of the tube. If it is just the plastic tube, without the elbow, then use either a wet/dry vac if you have one, or use a wire hanger to poke into the hole and try to remove whatever is blocking the drain. If you don't get it out, it might block it again later, or it might come out with the water. If you have the 90 degree rubber elbow, a quick trick is to squeeze it at the very end and roll it between your fingers to loosen the blockage. If that doesn't work, remove the elbow and clean it out, it will generally have the blockage in it. The elbow should have 2 pieces of wire sticking out, just squeeze these together and slide it off. Might have to give it a twist to get it to come loose. If you get the elbow off and water doesn't come rushing out, then clear the plastic tube, and check the elbow to be sure it isn't clogged.
Q: What are the requirements for the installation of expansion joints for drainage plastic pipes?
When the drainage pipe is on the floor, the expansion joint should be attached to the pipe near the branch pipe. Any location is possible only if the pipe is not supported.
Q: How to install the wires, plastic pipes, pipes, hard, all set not go in,
The thread sleeves and the color separation tubes are all made of special heat shrinkable sleeves.
Q: What are the different colors available for plastic tubes?
The different colors available for plastic tubes can vary widely depending on the manufacturer and intended use. Some common colors include white, black, clear, blue, green, red, and yellow. There may also be specialty colors or custom options available for specific applications.
Q: Are plastic tubes resistant to warping under high temperatures?
Plastic tubes can be resistant to warping under high temperatures depending on the type of plastic used. Certain plastics, like PTFE (Teflon) or PVC, exhibit good heat resistance, while others may deform or melt at elevated temperatures. It is important to consider the specific plastic material being used and its temperature limitations to determine its resistance to warping.
Q: How do you cut plastic tubes to size?
To cut plastic tubes to size, you can use a few different methods depending on the thickness of the tube and the tools available. Some common techniques include using a hacksaw, a PVC pipe cutter, or a utility knife. It's important to measure and mark the desired length accurately before cutting, and to apply steady pressure while cutting to ensure a clean and straight cut.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for solar panel installations?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for certain aspects of solar panel installations, such as protecting and routing electrical wiring or as a conduit for water or coolant circulation. However, plastic tubes are not typically used as the primary material for the solar panels themselves, as they lack the necessary properties to efficiently convert sunlight into electricity.
Q: What are the advantages of using plastic tubes in the marine industry?
One advantage of using plastic tubes in the marine industry is their resistance to corrosion. Unlike metal tubes, plastic tubes do not rust or deteriorate when exposed to saltwater, making them a durable and long-lasting option for marine applications. Additionally, plastic tubes are lightweight, which can contribute to fuel efficiency and ease of installation. They also offer flexibility, allowing for easier customization and installation in various marine environments. Lastly, plastic tubes are often more cost-effective compared to other materials, making them a practical choice for the marine industry.
