Q: How do plastic tubes compare to ABS tubes in terms of impact resistance?
Plastic tubes generally have lower impact resistance compared to ABS tubes. ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is known for its exceptional impact resistance, making it a preferred choice in applications where durability and resistance to impacts are crucial.
Q: Can plastic tubes be easily cleaned or sterilized?
Yes, plastic tubes can be easily cleaned and sterilized. They can be washed with soap and water, and then sterilized using various methods such as autoclaving, chemical disinfection, or steam sterilization.
Q: What is the average lifespan of plastic tubes?
The average lifespan of plastic tubes can vary depending on various factors such as the quality of the plastic, the conditions they are exposed to, and their usage. However, on average, plastic tubes can last anywhere from several months to several years.
Q: Glass surfaces are negatively charged, and when blood is collected in a clean glass test tube, it clots. Explain this observation.
it doesnt matter if it's glass or plastic. Once exposed to air (oxygen) the blood will clot unless it's been treated with an anticoagulant like EDTA, heparin, or sodium citrate. That's why these test tubes have anti coagulant in them. The tubes themselves can be glass or plastic, it doesn't matter. No anti-coagulant = clot anti-coagulant = no clot.
Q: hi I don't really know a lot about plumbing but today my bathroom sink was clogged so I took the j looking pipe apart and when I did a plastic tube looking thing fell out from the first pipe and when I tried to put everything back together that thing wouldn't stay. help?
You did the right thing to clear the clog. Work from the far end and toward the sink. You probably have a j pipe with threads on one end, and a straight clean pipe on the other. The threads go to the big white nut coming out of the wall, and the straight piece goes up into the drain from the sink. There's a greyish white washer which is bevelled on one side -- that goes around the straight pipe, and the threaded nut goes on it first. So when you push the straight pipe into the drain, the threads on the drain pipe connect to the threads on the j pipe nut, with the washer between, bevel edge facing the sink. Still confused? You tube has a video (or maybe hundreds) showing how to do this.
Q: Im looking for plastic tubes like pvc, but clear. about 3ft in length. where can i find it?
Ace hardware or some other hardware stores online.
Q: Describe what is involved in using a plastic graft tube for dialysis?
this showed up in gardening landscape, probably because of the word 'tubing'. Resubmit your question to 'health' category. If you still don't get an answer, google Kidney Foundation or try Mayo Clinic (term: Mayo Kidney Dialysis)
Q: How do I heat the thin plastic tube?
Generally do not use thin plastic tube heating, if it must be heated, it must be heated water bath, to prevent the temperature is too high and burned containers.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for pressure-sensitive products?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for pressure-sensitive products. Plastic tubes can be manufactured to withstand different levels of pressure and can be designed with features like reinforced walls or thicker materials to ensure they can safely contain and handle pressure-sensitive products.
Q: Are plastic tubes safe for use with drinking water?
Yes, plastic tubes are generally safe for use with drinking water. However, it is important to ensure that the plastic used is approved for food contact and meets the necessary safety standards. Regular inspection and maintenance of the tubes are also crucial to prevent any potential contamination.
