- Q: What kind of material (thin flexible plastic sheet) is used on the inside to make a lamp shade cover?
- The material is a kind of thin strong polyester film use in insulation for a lamp shade cover; Mylar is the trademark.
- Q: I had to put a plastic sheet over my garden because it has been raining non-stop. If I leave it up when the sun is out, will the UV rays be able to pass thru it?
- If it is clear plastic, remove it. This could magnify the suns rays and burn your plants. If it is colored plastic, I doubt the rays will go through it.
- Q: Are plastic sheets suitable for high-temperature applications?
- No, plastic sheets are not suitable for high-temperature applications as they have a low melting point and can deform or melt when exposed to high temperatures.
- Q: There is extreme wetness near the base of the walls 1 perticurally to the south and west and one to the north and west sides. I have had the attic ventilation balanced and it has gotten a little better. I also forgot that there is tyvek on the exterior and the cedar siding is curving toward the outside. I had the worst of it (siding) replaced this summer. The heat registers have just been replaced because they were rotted. I am replacing a sliding door for the same reason. I am also trying to replace some windows that may be leaking air. Thank you
- FYI - if your drywall has lready been exposed to moisture, it should be replaced. There is a new type of moisture, moldresistant and mildew resistant rock out there called Humitek. It is a few steps better than regular greenboard. It goes for abt $0.50 per sf so it's a little more expensive than greenboard, but weel worth it.
- Q: I am about to buy a Create and I have heard a lot of people complaining about the nibs being destroyed very fast due to the paper-like surface of the tablet drawing area, so I was wondering if putting paper or plastic would make the nibs last longer (without compromising the tablet performance).
- Not a bad idea but I don't think it's necessary. You could try it though. I just don't think it's worth it. (I can tell you that putting a paper under it won't help. If anything it makes using it more difficult.) This is assuming you're not going to be sitting at your computer drawing (or whatever) constantly 24/7. Bamboo create has an eraser on the back of the pen. If you feel like your nib is wearing out to quick you can draw with it as well. I don't notice much of a difference between drawing with the nib side or the eraser side. Also the tablet does come with a few replacement nibs. They'll last longer than you think! Just DON'T loose them! If you want the nib to last longer only use it for drawing (or whatever it is you specifically got it for) use the eraser or you finger the rest of the time. I've had my tablet for half a year and I haven't even gone through one nib even though I draw a lot. I would also like to note that at some point you will most likely need to install a driver to your computer. I had a rather annoying issue a few months ago when the tablet knew the pen was there but the cusser wasn't showing up on the screen. The driver fixed this all up. I've also had a very positive experience with customer service. Sent me a new USB cord when my original broke, no questions asked. :)

- Try placing a large bath towel under the sheet, in the area where you have sex. After having sex, change it. If you are comfortable with it, place the towel under yourself, and on top of the sheet. Makes it much easier to change afterward.

- That depends on the melting point of the plastic in question. It would be good to experiment with just one before you make big plans.
