Q:I have a KN in my 2000 Grand Prix Gt has the 3.8. Well I was looking into getting either a KN for a 97 Silverado 5.7 1 ton. Do the chrome air tubes have much of a different sound than a plastic air tube? I am looking on OKorder and found cheap ones vs getting the KN. All comments and suggests will be appreciated.
1)why okorder
Q:What is a paintball power tube used for?Im looking into an tippmann A5 power tube Delrin Front Bolt. Whats the difference and benefits. Thanks
The power tube is the part that holds the valve in the marker and helps direct air flow. Getting a new power tube will do NOTHING to performance. It has no performance valve what so ever. The front bolt is the part that helps push the ball out or the chamber. And getting a new one will help very very lil. So lil that it doesn't really matter. THis is because the stock front bolt on the tippmann markers is made so well that changing it doesn't make it any better because they will perform just about the same. Replacing the stock power tube to a full aluminum power tube is a good idea because after a while the stock plastic power tube does tend to break and when that happens it will cause air or co2 to leak. The aluminum one wont do that and lasts a lot longer.
Q:What is the minimum wall thickness for transparent plastic tubes?
The minimum wall thickness for transparent plastic tubes can vary depending on the specific type of plastic being used and the intended application. However, in general, the minimum wall thickness for transparent plastic tubes is typically around 0.5mm to 1mm.
Q:An air core is no core except air.
The purpose of a core in a transformer is to ensure as much as possible of the flux from one winding links the other. Also, we want the core to have a very small reluctance, so that the magnetising inductance (sometimes refered to as the mutual inductance) is very large. If it isnt, the transformer will have a large magnetising current i.e. it behaves as a shunt low value inductance, we need this inductance to be very high. Even if the powdered stones in the tube had a low reluctance (maybe they have alot of iron oxides in them?), the problem is that still most of the magnetic circuit is through air, so there is still a high reluctance. You need a closed magnetic circuit with a low reluctance material, or else you will need a very large number of turns on the windings, and they will need to be arranged carefully, to keep the leakage inductance low (flux from one winding that doesnt link with the other...) But what is the application? For low frequency power transformers we want a low leakage reactance and a very high magnetising reactance. For other kinds of transformers we might want a high leakage reactance (say a transformer to be used as a welder, the leakage reactance acts like a series choke to limit the short circuit current...). For broadband high frequency transformers, we want as little leakage inductance as possible, where as low magnetising inductance is not a problem at these frequencies. So usually we make transformers for this application with the two windings as one side of a twisted pair cable, or coax cable, and then have an air core. So how good a transformer core is depends on its application!
Q:Why do all squeeze tubes have a square at the top?
ummmm,, is it like putting square peg into a round hole?,,,,lol
Q:What is the minimum length of plastic tubes?
The minimum length of plastic tubes can vary depending on the specific application and manufacturer. However, plastic tubes can typically be found in lengths as short as a few centimeters or even millimeters.
Q:How are plastic tubes filled with adhesives or sealants?
Plastic tubes are typically filled with adhesives or sealants using a process called tube filling. This involves placing the empty tube in a filling machine, which is equipped with a nozzle or syringe-like device. The adhesive or sealant is then pumped or injected into the tube through this nozzle or syringe, ensuring that it fills up to the desired level. Once filled, the tube is sealed using a cap or crimped end, ready for use.
Q:Plastic tubing is touching compressor (or close to it) and gets hot and brittle. I recoupled a bad spot 1 year ago and it is leaking again. I would like to replace the tubing from the back of the refrig (solenoid) to the water filter. Any ideas on what material to use? I would like to use copper line thru the bottom of the refrig if not all the way to the water filter, but don't know how to connect it to the solenoid. Also would pex (1/4 OD) line be a better (albeit more expensive) choice for this?
You can replace the line with copper. If the connection point is metal you'll want to use a brass compression nut (brass) with a (brass) compression sleeve (know as a ferrules) if the connection point is plastic you'll want to use a nylon compression fitting. The metal ferrules one wont work as you would need to crank the you know what out out it to make it seal, and run the risk of stripping the plastic threads. The nylon takes less torque to seal if that makes sense as its a more dense material. You should be able to get all the parts from a local hardware store or big box store such as lowes or homedepot.
Q:I'm going to have the test tubes filled with wicked potion shots!!
What a cool idea....How about a restaurant supply store, or even a school supply store...they might have them in the science section. Good luck, (I might even steal it)
Q:how long will cigars keep in tubes?
Depends on where you live. Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, or other states that are very humid most of the time will keep them for a good long while. (Assuming you don't have them in an air conditioned place all the time that dries the air). If you were in Arizona or California or somewhere like that with very dry conditions most of the time; they will be noticeable drier in only a week or so. The tubes are really more just for presentation (like wax on a whiskey bottle) than they are for preservation. Ideal for cigars is around 75 deg F and 70% humidity. Compare where you have them to that to guage their longevity without proper storage. A ziplock bag with some pieces of dried fruit (apricot, peach, etc) is one home remedy for cigar storage, but I can't speak for it's actual effectiveness. The bag itself probably does most of the actual preservation. If they will fit, you can just get a large mason jar and buy these disposable humidty packs from a cigar company or online. Tear the top off of the envelope and place inside the jar with the smokes. Only about $8 invested and you will have pretty good preservation for at least 6 weeks (or until you put in a fresh pack).
