Q: Okay this is a really horrifying scenario and I'm panicking. I have two 6 weeks old baby alexandarine parrots. I feed them by hand through a syringe. I attach a small rubber tube at the end of the syringe and feed them slowly. However as I was just feeding one, the tube got loose and is now stuck in the parrot's throat. I'm very worried. I can't go to a vet as there is no avian vet in our area. What should I do? Please Please help!! I'll be really thankful.
Go to your reg vet they can help you other wise the birds little throat may get to dry from having the mouth open all the time.
Q: Can plastic tubes be used for HVAC lines?
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for HVAC lines. Plastic tubing such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) can be suitable alternatives to traditional metal pipes for HVAC systems. Plastic tubes are lightweight, resistant to corrosion, and can be easily installed, making them a cost-effective choice for HVAC applications. However, it is important to ensure that the specific plastic material used is compatible with the HVAC system requirements and meets the necessary industry standards.
Q: Can plastic tubes be reused?
Yes, plastic tubes can be reused. They can be cleaned and sterilized for multiple uses, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.
Q: there is a plastic tube that goes from the bathroom sink(strainer) into the wall. It seems to be clogged. How do I go about fixing this if it is leaking?
It should be about an inch and a quarter in diameter. At the wall there is what looks like a big nut. Take a large pliers and turn counterclockwise and take it loose. Take your hand, touch that nut and go back wards toward the sink and you will find another. Take that one off too, counterclockwise. Be sure to have a small bucket under the sink since you will loose some water. Take the plastic piece to the hardware store, buy new gaskets with it and put it back on. Do not over tighten,
Q: I am building a cold air intake and I am wanting like a clear plastic tubing kinda like clear pvc or aluminum tubing. thanks!!! near tulsa preferably
I would suspect that Tulsa is a large enough city to have a couple of sources for what you want. I'd start my search by picking up a local yellow pages telephone book and looking for metal suppliers.
Q: What connections can be used for plastic pipes?
In addition, mechanical connections can be made using flange connections or with some metal or plastic mechanical connections.Plastic is not recommended for threaded connections.
Q: Are plastic tubes safe for children's toys?
Yes, plastic tubes can be safe for children's toys, as long as they meet certain safety standards and regulations. It is important to ensure that the plastic used is non-toxic, durable, and free from sharp edges or small parts that could pose a choking hazard. Additionally, adult supervision should be present during playtime to ensure the safe usage of toys with plastic tubes.
Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for pneumatic control systems?
Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for pneumatic control systems. They are lightweight, flexible, and can withstand high pressures. Additionally, plastic tubes are resistant to corrosion, which is beneficial in pneumatic systems that may come into contact with moisture or chemicals.
Q: I would like to give all the girls in my daughter's dance company single stemmed roses after they compete in an upcoming dance competition. I tried last year just keeping the flowers in the car in water but that didn't work very well. Plus it was a hassle getting them from the car since I had my daughter's costumes, make up, etc and other props. I would like to this year use those individual water tubes that usually come on single stemmed flowers but I'm not finding them. I am buying for about 30 girls so I need to keep this as affordable as possible. Any ideas on how to create a homemade version or buy them for cheap? I will call a florist but I'm anticipating them not selling to me because they would want me to buy the roses from them (I am just buying about 2 1/2 dozen and doing it myself. Thanks so much!
You might try using plastic tubing and plugging the ends. Glass tubing is another way to go, more durable but also more expensive more work. Glass tubing can be cut to length then closed off on one end by heating in a flame until it pulls together. Large drinking straws could work as well, you could seal the bottoms with an iron by placing the straw between aluminum foil sheets.
Q: Will they disintegrate or damage over time? Or are they safe like that for a while?
If you must store them for a long time get a tube that is acid free and that will hold out moisture. A plastic type tube. If you keep it dry and at normal room temperature, storing it in a tube is fine long term. Maybe even years. Do not roll tightly.
