- Maybe you could borrow a drill from someone...there's really no other way to do it. You could try hammering in a small nail and then pulling it out and putting in the screw, but you'd probably strip the screw if the door was made of stronger metal than the door. Drills aren't that expensive either, and if you bought one then you'd have it the next time you needed it.
