Q: I just bought a virgin mobile phone.LoVeD it! But on the top of the phone where the icons are there is a GPS icon(checked in the user guide). In the guide it said it means that the location service of my phone is disabled/enabled. What does that mean??: I have the LG Rumor Touch. I bought this phone in July and have been having issues texting every time i try to re activate my beyong talk plan. Each time this happened to me I had to call and they did an investigation on my account. I have now had 4 investigations done, because for some reason they can never solve the problem after just ONE investigation. So they know me quite well from calling in so often. So for anyone looking to buy the Rumor Touch, Dont. ANYWAY, Ive been having issues today as well. So I called in thinking it was the same issue as before, and i finally got through after like 3 phone calls and countless minutes of waiting. Apparently one of their anntenas is down and they are currently trying to fix the problem. For those of you who cant get through to their live advisors it is because so many people are calling in trying to get help. I was told to wait it out and it should be fixed tonight. If it is not fixed I would call in tomorrow and keep pushing them to fix it for you, and when they say they will call you back, get a time limit. If they dont call you back, CALL THEM. It is the only way to get what you want, trust me.

I tried calling 1-888-322-11-22 but I don't know where to go from there.: Virgin Mobile is a prepaid service. That means if you don't pay your bill at the end of your billing cycle it automatically cancels and closes your account. You do not need to contact them. There are no fees if you cancel or don't pay your bill. Your service would be terminated and your account will be closed. So after that you can just sell your phone. When the person buys your used phone they would have to reactivate the phone and have a new phone number and account.

Q: I am thinking about purchasing an unlocked Palm which runs on Windows Mobile. I don't think it comes with AIM. I guess I would download it from the website. My question is, if I do -- will AIM then run in the background when my phone is on standby/off or will I only receive messages when my phone is active?: If your phone is on standby and you're logged in, you will be alerted. If your phone is fully powered off, you will not (unless you tweak the settings around to allow the application to turn on your phone). You can customize a lot on the Windows Mobile phones just depends on how much time you have to learn the steps and procedures to make it work the way you want it to.
