- nokia 5610- its about 50$. a slider phone and it has a music player too. samsung t819- i like it. its simple and its free! also a slider! samsung gravity- i was considering getting this phone. its only 30$ it has a full keyboard as well as a regular one. (slider) thing i dont like about it is the screen! samsung t349- not a slider, but i really like the keyboard! its only 15$ too. *all samsung phones get really good reception too! :) t-mobile dash- DONT GET IT. it looks really cheap and its not that good! its not a slider, anyways! haha.

- I have found that the best value mobile phones are the prepaid deals. You obviously get a prepaid card with it, which may be what you want. If it isn't, then you can use it up and then just use your previous sim card (if you had one), as you usually would. There are some good Nokia phones for $99. They can be found at Telstra Shops, Woolworths, Big W, Harvey Norman.just to name a few locations. Goodluck. I have been in the same situation and found this to the best option.

- It should. I wouldn't recommend the HTC (not HDC) HD2 simply because it is running an unsupported operating system. Windows Mobile 6.5 can not be updated to Windows Phone 7. You would have to get the HD2's successor the HD7 to get WP7.

- Hi Amuoro, and welcome to Y!A Camcorders: You've been asking about this same thing 5 times over the past month in various other Categories, but never have you said WHICH mobile phone model # you have. Different phones shoot video in different file formats (.3GP, .3GP2, .MP4, etc.). And you need to tell us what kind of computer you have. Editing transcoding (converting) video on a Mac is different than on a Windows PC. One important point, in your Question headline you say you want your phone videos to equal those of bigger camcorders. Most phones do not have the video quality to equal the quality of a bigger camcorder, but you can at least convert them to play normally on a television or YouTube / Netflix style media player. If you want to show or distribute your videos using DVD, then the final video format will be MPEG-2 (or you can use MPEG-4 encoding for Blu-ray HD). But this encoding step is usually handled by the DVD authoring software (Roxio, Nero, iDVD, etc.). For just online distribution viewing (YouTube, etc.), you have a wider choice of video formats for uploading.
