Q: Are unlocked mobile phones (of the same model) more expensive than mobile phones that are not unlocked?

Q: I know there's that online service which help you send free text messages to mobile phones. it's like you choose the service of the recipient write down the number and the message then you send it.does anyone know a good site or link to send texts online? please help with that.
Verizon has a good one! Or I would just yahoo search one or google it. They are pretty much all the same!
Q: i was guna get a phone off the internet but i don't know if it will work with my sim card and plan at t-mobile
Any T-Mobile phone will work with your SIM card. Any phone that takes a SIM card will be able to be used with your T-Mobile SIM but only if it has been unlocked, and all features will not function fully and/or properly, such as TZones. The only way your plan would not work on the phone would be if it was one that requires a data plan, such as the Blackberry, Sidekick or G1 which requires an additional fee for the service.
Q: I would like to buy a cheapish phone, from t-mobile, that has a real web browser. I don't care for videos, but i don't want to be restisted to web versions of websites. I'm thinking about buying a cheap phone and a ipod touch, instead of buying an android phone.
The original Samsung Behold might do you justice. It's a touch phone, but not a smart phone. Data plan would cost you $10 bucks a month. I used to use it for web browsing too.
Q: I am looking at Vigin Mobile phones, and I have found two that would be great. The Slash and the Shuttle. I need help choosing. Which one is better?
Definately the Shuttle!! Here is why the Shuttle is better: (+) Shuttle camera is 1.3 megapixel camera, Slash is just VGA (+) Shuttle can record video, Slash cannot (+) Shuttle is 3G speed and uses EVDO (this is Virgin Mobile's first EVDO 3G phone) (+) Shuttle has a music player (Slash does not) (+) Shuttle has removable memory, Slash does not (+) Shuttle is much quicker than Slash This is why the Shuttle is better :-) If you are planning of getting either one of these, it would be best to get the Shuttle, the higher price is worth it. I am planning on getting one!!
Q: I'm doing this project in school about mobile phones, and I was wondering how mobile phones or special made mobile phones for diabled people help disabled people

Q: I want to get a new mobile - can i get them without a Sim card and have my one in my current phone put in it so i have the same phone number and the same cash on my pay as you go
You can, or you can get one with a SIM already installed and get the mobile phone provider to transfer your old number to the new SIM. This process takes a few days. The main difference is that using your old SIM will mean that you are still using the same network. If a different network is offering the phone and/or calls etc more cheaply, take the second option with a new SIM on the new network, and your old number transfers to the new network.
Q: if police man searched the car and find mobile phone in your pockedt side of the car door , is possible to book you for using mobile phone , even have not been used ?
Unless your state has a law for having a cell phone in the vehicle, than no; which would be extremely wrong. If your state has a law for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle and the officer witnessed you using it while operating then yes it is a legal bust. If the officer makes an issue for having a cell phone in the vehicle then the officer should be reminded one of the basic safety principals of having a cell phone in a vehicle. I would recommend to any civilian to carry a cell phone in there vehicle at all times; you just never know when you may need to make that important phone call to save a life. These days finding an immediate communication device on the road is like seeing a celebrity getting ride on the side of the road; bad example I know
Q: I bought this cool mobile phone and i want to set it up for gprs im using mtn and vodacom i calld mtn and they say i must set it manually by the technicians. any one who know how to set it manualy please help i want to browse the internet. im in south africa
To activate the Gprs on mobile phone just follow the steps below: Select a Frequency Band to Activate GPRS: Step1 Access the phone's settings from the phone's main menu. Note: In countries outside of the United States or North America, you typically need to use the 900 MHz/1800 MHz frequency to get a GPRS signal from one of the mobile providers in another country. Step 2 Click the Network option from the menu that appears. Step 3 Select Band to begin the band selection. Step 4 Click on the band option that you want to activate a GPRS connection, such as 850/1900, 900/1800 or automatic if you are uncertain of the GPRS band. Step5 Turn the device off and then back on if it does not automatically select the band and you have selected the automatic option. Create a Network Connection to Activate GPRS Step1 Access the main menu on the phone to get to the settings menu. Step 2 Click Network, and then Network Setup (which usually appears as an option but depends on your model of phone). Step 3 Select Manual or Automatic. Note: You want to set your phone's option to Automatic so you can establish a GPRS connection with your mobile provider. However, select Manual if you want to choose a different network. Step 4 Make sure that your phone connects and you can begin to make calls. Reset the Phone to Activate GPRS Step1 Pull the battery out of your phone while it is turned on. Note: It is necessary to reset your phone at times if there are network glitches or coverage issues. This will re-establish your connect with a mobile provider's network. Step 2 Wait approximately 30 seconds, then re-insert the battery. Step 3 Press and hold the red Power button on your phone to turn it on. Step 4 Make sure that your phone displays the GPRS icon in the status bar to verify you are reconnected with your network.
