Q: solar panels!!they are fantastic! cause they are the new way of quot;chargingyour home, without killing the earth!would you install them, or not? and make sure you say WHY
I believe the best economy comes out when a completely green house is built. Solar panels are expensive, and I'll rather use some of the investments to build different back-up systems, instead of bying solar panels for it all. If I build another house, my fancy stuff would be the green stuff. The house will have a water radiator heating system and a heat pump to circulate warm or cold air in the house. Heat pump also used to heat water for heating system. I'll use solar panels to make enough electric power . charging a deep cycle battery pack for back up power, 2. to power heat pump, fridges., freezers, and water pumps, when I'm not home at the house. When I'm home I'll run a bio-fueled(bio-waste and pellets or firewood) powered steam engine with a 0KW 0-220V generator when I need electric stove and oven, dishwasher and laundry appliances. I'll use a wood stove, BBQ and oven on the porch for summer cooking. I'll use excessive heat from steam engine for heating water tank. I'll also have an bio-fueled (waste and pellets or firewood) water heater for winter heating back-up. Of course I'll make sure I'm connected to the electric grid, so I can get credit from power company for the excessive electricity that will occasionally come out from solar panels. Steam engine can be replaced by diesel powered 0KW generator, if it's possible to fuel it with veg-oil home made diesel fuel. Depends whats most accessible at my living site.
Q: What size of system would I need to get if I use on average 500 kilowatt hrs a month I would like to do a tie in grid system I live in the states south central area of States any info or links to sites would be wonderful I am interested in this type of energy soure thank you
First find out from your electric company whether they allow grid tie systems. IF so then they can help you figure out what you need.
Q: Can the solar panels available be coated with a material (to improve it's looks) and not alter it's efficiency?
No. The only coatings I am aware of are those that reduce reflection so more light gets through the protective surface to the actual cells. Anything thing that affects appearance is going to be reflecting light back to the viewer and the photons of that light are not available for electricity or heat. If the appearance of the panels offends you, then they need to be concealed by a fence of panels around them that do not throw shadows on the panels.
Q: Can I add more solar panel let say up to 200 watt and adding two 2 volts battery using the same charges controller and power inverter?
That charge controller is notoriously cheap and burns up easily. If you are going add solar panels, also buy another charge controller to go with them. They can both be connected to the same battery bank. I don't believe the kit comes with batteries, so you would buy whatever size 2V battery bank your power requirements call for. The size of the inverter depends entirely on what you are going to power with it, not the size of the panel array. As long as you are not powering anything that is over the 300W rating, you don't need a new one. Just be sure to check the details of the inverter, is it 300W continuous, or can it handle up to a 300W surge? Also, it's a modified sine wave inverter instead of a pure sine wave inverter, so don't plug any sensitive electronics into it. They may not work, or you may get a buzz or hum from it.
Q: I need to prepare solar panels for using in home needs electricity purpose. Can anyone could help me to know much more about it.
It's possible to make a DIY homemade solar or wind power turbine to power your home, house, water pump, irrigation system and much more. You don't need to buy expensive wind turbine generator equipment. Trust me these wind power generator equipment cost so much that you could spend years saving to buy a very small unit. I live in a very windy and remote area in Kenya; Africa where it might be another 3 decades before the national power grid finally gets to our horizon. I was about to buy such equipment when I stumbled on a do it yourself manual online that had colorful illustrations of how to make a homemade wind turbine for as low as $200. Compare this to a small turbine unit that goes for no less than $ 3000 and you see what I mean when I say you are better off making one at home.
Q: Are solar panels safe for the environment?
Yes, solar panels are safe for the environment. They generate clean and renewable energy by converting sunlight into electricity, resulting in no harmful emissions or pollution. Additionally, solar panels do not deplete natural resources and have a minimal impact on ecosystems when properly installed and maintained.
Q: I would like to know how much a solar panel would cost for a wingspan of 208 ft for a plane
That okorder /
Q: i wanted to buy solar panels but this guy told me one will just power one light bulb what i want to know is how much thay cost and is it true tat if more power leaves your house than goes in the power company has to send u a cheek
If you are looking into a credit or buy back of hydro, you should be inquiring about windpower not solar...you will have better luck creating more with that than panels. It is not so much the cost of the panels that is a lot, it is the cost of everything else you will need to use/store the power....inverter, batteries...etc
Q: Hello,What do you all think about the future of solar panels and what role they will play in the near future. There is tons of money being dumped into the industry and demand is slowly rising. Also do you have any favorite solar links to get more info about them?
Well I think solar technology is a viable solution to our energy problem. The only issue is that right now it takes too long for the panels to pay off unless you have a fairly big facility to power. Solar panels are getting cheaper and cheaper though, soon they will pay themselves off in less than ten years and I think then you will see more people buy them which will bring the price down even more. Solar done on a large scale is something that needs to be invested in ASAP. They can create jobs, power our nation and slow down global climate change.
