- Q: I was watching real videos and the last 3 have all been different alarm fires. What decides how many alarms it is?
- I know what your seeking but recently here in NZ its been banned because of the fittings blowing off the crimping isn't sufficient, co's over time it corrodes away, allowing the pipe to blow off! It's a bugger if it's in an interior wall. Here there's another brand and it has a stainless steel bush pushed up inside each connection before the fitting is pushed on. These fittings are able to be undone if needed they come in all sorts of sized configurations (it used to be called Acorn fittings but it could have since changed) The only thing is I wouldn't expect this plastic piping to carry hot water. The blockage might be something simple you will just have to try and eliminate possible causes by checking everything. The problem could quite easily be the pressure reducing valve as they often gum up with crap besides they have a tiny jet within them that blocks if the diapham is perished then you will get very little flow if anything!! I'd be seeking out the fault first, co's you might go replace all the piping using all the existing fittings only to find the problem is still there you have achieved nothing!! Other than spent lots of money time for nothing!! It's better cheaper to remedy the problem first if you find the pipework needs replacing then by all means do it - Do it once do it well is my work ethic's Cheers!!
- Q: hi im 19 and my boyfriend is about to be 20 on may 28th. we've been together for a year and 8 months but I have a problem. HES LAZY. he doesn't own a phone so I give him mine to use when I leave so I can get ahold of him. I ask him to go job hunting but when he says he will he just sleeps all day and smokes weed the rest of the day. hes constantly with his friends everyday. I'm constantly fighting with him and trying to push to him to have a better life but hes all talk no action. once his friends call he's out that door and it makes me so mad that his friends blow up my phone to chill with him. they call at 3 in the morning sometimes and will call 10 times intil someone picks up. I honestly don't know if I should try harder for my boyfriend or should I just give up on him and move on? what should I do?
- seems you already cemented your situation when the two of you moved in together and he gives you money and you accept it. He knows you are vulnerable because you have no place to go and can't work. So you are speaking to us from a vulnerable place. If you wanted to get out now what would it take? You say he doesn't flirt or cheat and I'd be wondering just what his persuasion is. If you can't get out or don't have the transportation or the money to do so then you can never have the opportunity to find out what this guy is all about. I'd be wondering too why you love him. Anyway, everyone has baggage, everyone has stuff they do that the other doesn't like, but if you really knew him would you still want him? Have you talked with any of his relatives and friends about him as a person like what kind of person he is like, was he married before, who knows him from the past? And if you found out and decided to leave where would you go (to which relative) and how would you pay for yourself? Are you on food stamps? Are you on SS disability? Can you work online or have your own business? And why haven't you started that already?

- First - think about hiring a handyman to do this. Soldering pipe isn't hard, but learning how to do it while under your house where a leak would be hard to find and repair is not easy. The peace of mind might be worth it. Be sure to ask for an estimate on the price, both for material and for labor, before you agree to anything. If you have to or really want to do it yourself, find a book on DIY plumbing tips. You can probably find one at almost any home improvement stores, like Lowe's, Menards, Home Depot, etc. Then read the parts on making solder joints carefully. Get some pipe and fittings, and practice making joints in the garage, back yard, or someplace well ventilated and easy to work in. Under the house is NOT the place to try this. I'd recommend you try to make at least 20 good joints, and test them by putting them under water pressure to see if they are good. You'll need a propane torch, solder, flux, pipe, fittings, a pipe cleaning brush, and a tubing cutter. The last is a gizmo that cuts copper pipe easily and cleanly. It's MUCH better than using a saw. The brush is a special wire brush that scrubs the corrosion off the inside and outside of the pipe, to help make a better joint. Oh, and get ready for a case of sticker shock when you go to buy copper pipe. The price of copper has skyrocketed lately, so you'll want to be careful to buy only the sizes you need. Read the book about the different kinds and sizes and thicknesses of copper pipe, and look carefully at what you have now, so you know what to get. But you'll still be better off hiring someone to do this, I think.
- Q: Who knows what the clamp joint standard is?
- There are a lot of standard for fast mounting clamps. The actual production of the ISO clamp joints seems somewhat different from the standard,

- if im putting 2 steel pipe fittings together i always use pipe tape or dope. but if im thredding brass in to steel or the other way around some times i do and some times i dont. i have replaced lots of break air lines on trucks and i try to use tape or dope but some times i dont if its a hurry thing. some times im laying under trucks in the slush and snow when we have a plow truck blow a parking break line and in thoes siutwations pipe tape or dope is the last thing on my mind. im a mechanic at a highway deparment and some times we do what we gotta do when wer in a rush. as long as the lines you replaced did not leek after you wer done you are fine. threding plain brass in to a fitting and you get it tight enough it wont leek and im shure their was still some pipe tape or dope residue in the fitting you put the brass fitting in to. your wer right as long as it did not leek. if they fire you over this that is bs. good luck
- Q: A fire hose ejects a stream of water at an angle of 39.1 ° above the horizontal. The water leaves the nozzle with a speed of 23.5 m/s. Assuming that the water behaves like a projectile, how far from a building should the fire hose be located to hit the highest possible fire?

- Q: So I was going through a smaller street way and didn't notice that there was a sharper turn up ahead and I ended hitting the curb and a fire hydrant now my passenger side wheel is way off an I have to turn my steering wheel about a whole rotation left to go straightthe wheel was pushed back and inyet nothing is leaking and 3 Mechanics have looked at it and told me that it looks fine. - Q: I am going to construct out of wood, an exact model of the concrete pier caps I will use to top some brick columns I am constructing (as I replace old chain link fencing). I want to make a precast mold of this wooden model so that I can use mold to duplicate/ pour the concrete pier caps. What kind of resin material do I need to create a mold of the wooden model? It would be ideal if the mold would be slick and shiny, so the cured concrete can easily come loose from the mold. I have to use the mold 10 times.Do I need liquid fiberglass or hot plastic or what? I've never done anything like this before, so I am clueless. Here is a link to the type of pier cap I will first build out of wood. See pier cap 1:

- Q: Maintenance skills of fire hose clamp joint leakage
- Detailed explanation of maintenance technology for fire hose clamp joint leakage:Trench type fire pipeline after used for a long time, if all of a sudden pressure relief after prone to the displacement of the pipeline caused by clamp joint Water Leakage, by tightening the clamp bolts do not necessarily have a good effect, because of aging, lack of elastic rubber ring.

- EDIT: There are systems that can install an epoxy liner in an existing sewer lateral. One of many is linked below. They will come into your house with a camera system and run it down the main sewer and find out where the break(s) occur. From there they will install an inflatable pipe within the system that will extrude the new epoxy liner. It may take a few hours, and it will cost about 40% of what a new pipe would cost, but there is little or no digging, and certainly nothing under your house. Ask around in your ara or search No Dig Sewer Repair or similar words. END EDIT. Clay sewer pipe of that vintage used mostly a mortar mix for the sealant - and some very few used rubber gaskets in addition to the mortar. Between settling and normal aging, the joints tend to move a little. And then between heating and cooling, hot water from a bath followed by cold water from a toilet flush, even more stress is put on the joints. Do this for 30 - 40 years and the joints get loose. An air-blaster system will blow the mortar right out of the joints, possibly split the pipes themselves and possibly even move the pipes themselves. It is absolutely the worst possible thing to do with a vitreous-pipe system. Keep in mind that the pipe itself tends to be pretty impervious to wear and tear - it is usually joint failure, movement and roots (causing joint failure and movement) that causes problems. Good luck with it. When/if you have to replace the pipes, consider Schedule 80 PVC if permitted by code. It is much stronger than Schedule 40, and should last at least 100 years, probably much more, if installed correctly. Use 304-stainless no-hub mechanical fittings rated for underground use, *NOT* solvent fittings. Or go straight to ductile iron and similar fittings.
