1,Cast Iron Manhole Cover Description :

manhole cover is a removable plate forming the lid over the opening of a manhole, to prevent anyone or anything from falling in, and to keep out unauthorized persons and material.

Manhole covers are often made out of cast iron, concrete or a combination of the two. This makes them inexpensive, strong, and heavy, usually weighing more than 50 kilograms (110 lb). The weight helps to keep them in place when traffic passes over them, and makes it difficult for unauthorised people not having suitable tools to remove them.

A manhole cover sits on metal base, with a smaller inset rim which fits the cover. The base and cover are sometimes called "castings", because they are usually made by a casting process, typically sand-casting techniques.

4FAQ:

We have organized several common questions for our clientsmay help you sincerely

Q. Can I fit a square manhole cover into a round chamber?

A. Yes, there are a select few manhole covers which are square-to-round, meaning they will fit square or round chambers.

Q. I have a heavy traffic manhole cover but it has been broken by a forklift, why?

A. Forklifts have solid wheels which apply pressure differently to standard pneumatics and therefore covers must be specially adapted to suit this.

Q. I’ve measured my clear opening size but none of your covers match it, can you offer anything?

A. It’s likely that your cover is quite old and in imperial measurements which are no longer manufactured. However, we can offer bespoke solutions with manhole covers made to the specification you require.

Q. The project I’m working on requires a manhole cover with a quality finish, what’s available?

A. Naturally, galvanised steel of black polypropylene aren’t always ideal, and so we offer brass or stainless steel edging, as well as complete stainless steel covers.

Q. Odours are coming through where I have installed my manhole cover, why?

A. Your cover must be sealed and locked, or neoprene sealed, so you would require a T-Range Cover, or if you require a solid top, a selection of the PC range (e.g. PC2BG3, PC6CG3, not PC2BG) are suitable.

Q. I need access through my manhole cover on a regular basis, is this possible?

A. Yes, the majority of covers have built-in lifting keys, and for those that don’t we also supply lifting keys. However, the best way to obtain easy access is to have a bespoke, hinged manhole cover.

Q: i went looking for black people who love metal on youtube. i found a black girl screaming to metal. she was pretty hot and nerdy and she wore nerdy type of glasses. well i want to really know if their is other black people who love metal? because i feel like the only one black who loves metal.
Depends on what sound you want. Drop A is good if you're using a 7 string. drop B and drop C both have make really heavy sounding riffs. drop D works too.
Q: Up until now, I feel that metal is really noisy. But I want to understand how metal heads appreciate metal. I want to try and appreciate more genres. Any suggestions? how do I appreciate metal?
What okorder
Q: Hi, can you suggest me some new band?I like metal/rock, for example:Classic:metallica, megadeth, iron maiden, slayerNew metal: mainly bullet for my valentine and escape the fateNew rock:blink-182, sum41Are there new (possibly born after 2001 and has released new albums recently) bands which incorporate metal/rock and stuff like synths or digital pads?Don't say:Muse, Radiohead, Dream Theater, Between the Buried and MeP.S: I don't like Death Metal AT ALL. My limit is probably Bring Me The Horizon (which i don't like that much to be honest), you know, without death/gore stuff.
Slipknot is heavy metal. In fact, I am a fan of heavy metal and fell in love with this band when they came out with their song Psychosocial.
Q: it's juz that i read somewhere that it's the seed 2 black metal, n that death metal = black metal. n that black metal could bend ur faith or something like that. really, anyone offended by this q, i'm so sorry, but i juz need an answer that could, well.. satisfy my curiosity.after all, u ppl have better judgement on this than i am.
Deathcore (early Job for a Cowboy, the Acacia Strain, Emmure, more recent Cryptopsy, Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, etc.) is number one, without question. There was a time when I would have said Nu-metal, but it's largely dissipated as a major force. A close second is (mainstream) Metalcore (Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Atreyu, Bullet for my Valentine, As I Lay Dying, etc.). I qualify with mainstream because some acts, most of them verging on Mathcore, such as Converge (who have admittedly achieved a decent amount of mainstream success) and Botch are quite good. Nu-metal will show with a near tie. Honorable mention goes to Post-metal. I have nothing against bands labelled as Post-metal (Pelican, Isis, Neurosis, Russian Circles, etc.), and, in fact, many of them are good. My problem is that it should not, by any reasonable argument, exist as a classification. Not only do the bands grouped under it have barely enough in common to group them together, they all fit neatly enough under another, already existing, genre.
Q: It says in my chemistry book that metals are positively charged elements. Well i want to know why that is? or if thats true?
if they were dangerous would they be putting them in your mouth for year long periods? no
Q: yo, homiez do you like metal? :)if so then what specifically?
1. Which is hotter, the air inside your oven, or the metal inside? Since the metal is way hotter, it conducts heat better. 2. I'm guessing that is a metallic trait. Do gases even melt? lol 3. Dull/brittle sounds like a metalloid to me. If that's not an option, I would stick with metal. 4. Metals usually react with stuff on the opposite side of the periodic table....which are usually non-metals (aka ionic compound). I'm a little rusty at this stuff, but I think those are right.
Q: I always see people into heavy or black metal... Did thrash metal die?
You know the way that a car battery works? What you do there is that you draw electrons from metals to have be drawn through the circuit ionizing the metals and vice versa when recharging the battery. Now as compared to the other metals gold is less generous when it comes to giving off electrons as compared to the other metals so when you are doing the same as in a battery to that of whatever compound contains all of above mentioned metals you will have gold the last remaining nonionized metal. Just pour in any chloride solution or any halide and you will soak up the other metals. Rinse and repeat til you have only gold left. Easy as pie!
Q: Do you think nu-metal is metal? Alot of people believe that metalcore, and nu metal is not metal...I think that both genres are metal...just not pure metal. They include other influences. But with nu-metal, I still have mixed feelings. I'm used to metal being all rock, not rap mixed with rock. But I have to admit it, whether I like it or not, it's metal...only with rap influences. Nevertheless...metal. IMO atleast.Tell me what you think...do you think nu-metal is metal?and what about metalcore?
Physically, metals are those chemical substances that are rigid, malleable, ductile and tensile. However there are some exceptions to such metallic properties like K,Na and Cs are neither rigid nor tensile...There are various other physical properties of metals like Sonour,Lustre, etc. and exceptions are also there in them... So the chemical definition classifies substances into Metals and Non-Metals without any exceptions ,on the basis of their tendency to attain a completely filled valence shell of electrons... Chemically, metals are chemical substances which are capable of giving electrons to other substances to form electro-positive ions called cations.Metals generally give electrons to non-metals (which are chemical substances capable of gaining electrons to form electro-negative ions called anions) to form Electrovalent or Ionic Compounds.
Q: If the oxidation number of the metal is +2, calculate the molar mass of the metal. in g/mol
Heating a metal will cause it to expand (swell).
Q: How are some metals shiny and some dull?
For the metal-to-metal coefficient of static friction, it depends a lot on the composition of the different metals, their surface finish, and the amount and composition of any lubricant or surface contaminant. Ditto for leather on metal. As a rule, for clean, smooth metal-to-metal surfaces, dissimilar metals tend to give lower values for static friction than two surfaces of the same metal that would have a tendency to stick to each other (i.e., seize) and refuse to slide at all. This is especially true if one of the metals is very hard and the other is relatively soft, which is one reason why sleeve bearings are made of relatively soft stuff. It also helps if the surfaces are smooth but not too smooth. Minimum values you can expect for the coefficient of static friction would be in the range of 0.1. From a theoretical standpoint, leather on metal is even more complicated than metal on metal because the leather is a chemically and structurally complex mix of substances that can be expected to change with age, usage, and environment. That said, the tables in the reference will give you some idea what to expect.
