Q: Courtyard lamp acceptance method
Any problems in the installation of the solar garden lights will affect the normal lighting
Q: Why is it that light cannot escape from black holes? Is light made of matter? Does gravity affect light?
Photons travel through space, and space is curved by gravity. In 1905, Einstein predicted that during an ecclipse, we should see a particular star that was, in fact, *behind* the sun. Sure enough, when the ecclipse occured, the star was visible - appearing just a little to the north west of the sun. The sun's gravity curved the star's light around, so we could see the star - even though the sun was physically in front of it. In a black hole, or more accurately - inside a black hole's Event Horizon - the speed needed to escape is above the speed of light - indicating that gravity has bent space so much that light itself cannot escape.
Q: whats better to use in a studio for models? i have hair lights, key light, etc, so why use a flash if i can use continuous lights?
For me, strobes are much better than continuous lighting. Continuous lighting gave me some good results, but it was a lot more work and I had to be much more careful. The lights were hot as heck, hard to work around, always had to shoot on a tripod, aperture had to be wide open and the shutter was almost too slow. Strobes is a different story. Much more control, not hot, rarely use a tripod, can light a much larger area with much less equipment. As far as a flash per se, I never use my flash in the studio at all. There's always a wireless trigger on the hotshoe anyway, so it can't even pop up. The only reason to use it with continuous lights is to fill a little where the continuous lighting isn't cutting it. I never did with continuous lighting. It seemed to mess things up more than it helped. If you have good continuous lighting, you shouldn't ever need it.
Q: Polaroid only transfers light parallel through it, but when unpolarized light strikes on it, where the unpolarized light goes, how does it absorbs unpolarized light?, or it relfects it?
The microscopic crystals in the polaroid are aligned in the same direction. And the molecules in the crystal are alinged in this direction. Electrons in the molecules of these crystals are relatively free to move along one axis of the crystal but not others, because of the arrangement of the atoms in the molecules. If the electric field of incident light is polarised parallel to this axis, it causes a lot of electron movement. The energy given to electrons is then dissipated by being transferred to the surrounding atoms producing a tiny amount of heat For other directions of the electric field of incident light, this energy dissipation is much less - so this light passes through without significant loss of energy.
Q: I hear them talking about Fairy Lights on allot of the British Shows we watch. What are they?
Christmas lights (also sometimes called fairy lights, twinkle lights or holiday lights in the United States) are strands of electric lights used to decorate homes, public/commercial buildings and Christmas trees during the Christmas season. Christmas lights come in a dazzling array of configurations and colors. The small midget bulbs commonly known as fairy lights are also called Italian lights in some parts of the U.S., such as Chicago. Fairy Lights are also the trademarked name of a frosted, open top candle holder often made of Burmese Glass in the late 19th Century. Isn't it curious how we both speak English yet we don't understand each other? What we call angels, they call fairies. What we call flash lights, they call torches. Common people separated by the same language.
Q: What are the little blue lights on the traffic lights in Orlando?
They are in every major city. It helps control emergency vehicles so when they approach the inner section the lights will automatically change to green to let them pass
Q: In photography, what is moon lighting photography? How do I acheive moon lighting photography?
I think you mean mood lighting. Not moon lighting.
Q: examples of how light enery travels
Light travels as a wave. But unlike sound waves or water waves, it does not need any matter or material to carry its energy along. This means that light can travel ...
Q: Does light have particles? Like, are there such thing as 'atoms of light'? As in, the essence of light itself it matter? Or is it just something visible, not really existant in form? Sorry, 8th grade science doesn;t cover all this yet. :S
Light doesn't have atoms, but it does come in discrete packets called photons. A photon is a particle of light, but that doesn't make it matter, because it has no mass.
Q: Where my lights are in my truck its auto then the picture for tail light indicator.. What's that for?
It tells you if your tail lights are on or off. The tail lights are the lights at the back of your vehicle including the break lights, turn signal lights etc. When you turn the lights switch on the dash lights and the other lights will turn on
