Q: Its a tad chilly tonight, and id love too try out my eletric blanket :) am i allowed to leave it on all night? or should i turn it off?
I'd check the faucets shower heads for clogged screens first. Cleaning them doesn't cost mucha little CLR and a toothpick will do it. I'd also check the water valves (under the sinks, toilets, etc) to see if they are opened all the way.
Q: is there a chance it might catch on fire? And to what degree of heat would the heater have to be (let's say it's a real powerful industrial size heater). I find it ridiculous that a jacket hung over night in front of a heater can catch on firebut the safety inspector at work threatened to write me up for violating safety hazard. I know it's not the safest thing to do, but realistically, could this happen?
Yes - on the part of their insurance company. They tend to be a little more 'reality based' and don't believe in magical sky daddies that protects his buildings. Considering the number of churches that get destroyed by 'acts of god' I would say they are probably doing the right thing.
Q: I am planning to build a new home in Los Angeles on an empty lot and was told I need to install a fire hydrant. I am not sure where the water main is near or on the lot (although it is in a street with housing on each side). I contacted the city and they say they don't know where the water main is located (the lot has an easement, but the city couldn't find out what it is for, nor could the seller) and the fire department still hasn't gotten back to me. Is there a place where I can find out this information myself? Thanks!
It's not inappropriate. Are you offended seeing people at the pool in their bikinis?
Q: I found a pair of jeans at the back of my wardrobe. I havent worn them in months, and was going to throw them out.I noticed there was dots of mold growing on the front and back. The colour of the mold was kinda orangey brown. From what I can see, there is no mold growing on the interier of the wardrobe..so I thought that maybe I had put the jeans away whilst they were still a little wet after cleaning?? Would this sound right to you???? If so, is this mold dangerous to my health like all the things I have read on the web??? and what about the other clothes in the wardrobe, will they now have mold on them too and need to be thrown away?Am I worrying over nothing??
Just use fire brick and be done with it.
Q: No one will beleive me. I am asking the favor of your guidance to assist me in the correct action in overcoming this criris.
i think you need to ber at least 16 to volunteer to be a firefighter and as long as you show up at the fires there will always be something to do whether it be fighting the fire itself, untangling hoses or if it is in the middle of the night getting coffee for the guys any help is usually welcomed in a volunteer company.
Q: Last year, we tried making a large waterslide. We built a quaterpipe about 12' high and put it on a top of a hill, that goes into the water.Anyway, I believed we used 6mil plastic. We had a hose on it constantly and even doused ourselves in soap but it still wasn't as fast as others I have seen on TV or internet videos. What material should we use to get the fastest speed? Should we use a thicker plastic?
You didn't mention a brand. Some have rollers that the drum rests on, when you say squeaks I would think a dry roller. It could also be the idler, rather tensioner wheel for the belt, this generally rides on the back side of the belt. If it is sort of a grinding then the felt that the tub rests on. The rollers are generally to the back of the drum. You may be able to oil them with a turbine oil or non-detergent oil.
Q: Okay i wanna become a video game tester. I've always loved video games and been playing them since i was 5. Iwas loking for a website and i cam across becomeagametester(.)com and i was wondering if its a scam. IT looks legit to me. But i wanted to get everyone else's opinion on it. Also no dumb replies i want real answers.
The Shield are already planned to face Sheamus, Randy Orton and the Big Show. SunShine, sadly he's not. Randy doesn't even need to be in tag matches. He deserves to be a champion. These are the only rumored matches that will be happening so far. * Ryback vs. Mark Henry * The Shield vs. Big Show, Randy Orton Sheamus
Q: i am making a rubber band car for school and it is due next wensday and i have to make it using basic household materials. nothing that costs too much. if anything i dont have any ideas for what i could use for the axels, or how to make them work.. im not very 'bright' when it comes to building a car from scraps. :)if you could give me some ideas that would be great! thanks
insufficient data.. you can find change in momentum with this but not force exerted
Q: My dad went through and changed all the batteries in the detectors, we have about 6 upstairs with 1 monoxide detector, and others on the main level and in the basement. After my dad changed and tested all of them, the one in the bedroom next to mine started beeping (every 5 minutes or so), he took out the battery and put it back in, then tested it and it was fine after it was reset. At 2:30 this morning, mine let off a beep, we ignored it and went back to sleep. It didn't beep again until 7:30, then again at 7:35, we didn't know which one it was at the time so we tiredly waited until it beeped again, and of course, it didn't. It didn't beep again until 10:00am, so my dad unplugged it and re-inserted the battery and tested it, and we waited. It beeped again at 10:20 or 10:25 and we just unplugged it.The battery works fine and it was plugged in correctly, was it going bad already? It's a newer one.
Yes. When I lived in a condo I had a forest of container plants on my patio that I watered that way. They sell an adapter that attaches to the faucet and then to a hose at Home Depot in the sprinkler parts department and it will work fine for your purposes.
Q: What should I look for in a centralized condo fire/smoke alarm system?
2 Smoke/fire alarms in the downstairs 1 Smoke/fire alarm in the upstairs 1 Carbon monoxide alarm in the stairwell. A cell phone and landline with numerous extensions (Cordless phones) around my Condo. We don't have reserse alarm calling in my county yet.
