- Q:I would like to give all the girls in my daughter's dance company single stemmed roses after they compete in an upcoming dance competition. I tried last year just keeping the flowers in the car in water but that didn't work very well. Plus it was a hassle getting them from the car since I had my daughter's costumes, make up, etc and other props. I would like to this year use those individual water tubes that usually come on single stemmed flowers but I'm not finding them. I am buying for about 30 girls so I need to keep this as affordable as possible. Any ideas on how to create a homemade version or buy them for cheap? I will call a florist but I'm anticipating them not selling to me because they would want me to buy the roses from them (I am just buying about 2 1/2 dozen and doing it myself.Thanks so much!
- You might try using plastic tubing and plugging the ends. Glass tubing is another way to go, more durable but also more expensive more work. Glass tubing can be cut to length then closed off on one end by heating in a flame until it pulls together. Large drinking straws could work as well, you could seal the bottoms with an iron by placing the straw between aluminum foil sheets.
- Q:How can the PPR pipe be connected with the metal tube?
- This is a water storage type electric water heater installation and use of PP-R material, and is connected with the water heater outlet and below the triangle valve components is a special joint installed in the water heater, the components are used to transition metal tube connected with the plastic pipe, the connecting way is to facilitate future maintenance.

- Yes, but the temperature must be well controlled. The purpose of the water heater with the electric heater should be to prevent water from freezing!

- There is no glue that will fix that. You can try epoxy and then bolster it with epoxy putty and good luck with that. Pressure in the radiator is not your friend. Way back in the 1970's Triumph started using plastic parts on their cooling system. Time, heat and pressure caused failure of those parts with regularity. Now VW and BMW are using plastic parts in water pumps. They fail with regularity. What did they learn? Plastic will gaurantee profit for the repair shop. A counter argument to my last observation though,was my wife's old '86 Corolla with its plastic radiator. It never failed in over 214,000 miles.
- Q:They are maybe a foot and a half long and are a hard hollow plastic tube. There is a sound maker inside and when you turn the toy vertically gravity pulls the sound maker down and noise comes out. It goes OOOOOOOOOOOAAHHHHH!!! - The plastic expansion tube contains a fixed diameter tube with a mesh filter screen at either end. It is located in the evaporator inlet pipe. It creates a restriction to the high-pressure liquid refrigerant in the liquid line, metering the flow of refrigerant to the evaporator as a low-pressure liquid. When the engine is turned OFF with the air conditioning operating, the refrigerant in the system will flow from the high-pressure side of the expansion tube (orifice) to the low-pressure side until the pressure is equalized. This may be detected as a faint sound of liquid flowing (hissing) for 30 to 60 seconds. This is a normal condition. When system diagnostics indicate a restricted expansion tube, it may not be necessary to replace it. Metal chips, flakes, or slivers found on the screen may be removed with compressed air. The expansion tube may be reused if: * The plastic frame is not broken. * The expansion tube is not damaged or plugged. * The screen material is not torn. * The screen is not plugged with fine gritty material.
