- Well the HP runs a full operating system (not a gimped, cut-down OS like the iPad), offers much more in terms of multi-tasking, has support for a massive library of programs and games whether free, open-source or paid and is almost as portable as the iPad and is much more practical since you can actually attach things like USB drives, cameras and other accessories you might already own to the HP. In other words, buy the HP laptop, it's only a $100 more you get far more for your money than buying a glorified iPod Touch that is just as portable.

- Very good questions Yes, you can work with the adapter attached into your laptop. No harm will result by doing so. My laptop is always attached to my adapter whenever possible. The safest way to attach the adapter is to connect it to the laptop first and then to an outlet. Doing it this way will prevent causing an electrical shock at the laptop's connector. A shock at the laptop's connector can cause damage to the connector. Connect laptop first and wall outlet second to avoid damage then power on.
