- Of course a drill is best, but for a few holes in a thin metal door you can probably get by with a hammer and a nail or punch. You can get a small punch from the hardware store. It is harder than a nail and won't bend. Just be sure not to make the holes in the door larger than the screws you are using as the threads will not catch.

- You would have to use a spray paint that is specific for metal. They sell them at most hardware stores and department stores. I am not sure on how many cans you might need so I would ask someone in the paint department on that. But they should have a brick red spray paint.
- Q: Im thinking about buying a second door to go over the main front one for added security. Are the metal guard doors safer?
