- Q: managerial acounting
- Not exactly. Suppose you have a machine that costs $100,000 a year. That pays its debt service and other fixed costs. And the machine can make 100,000 widgets a year. If the machine just sits there, doing nothing, it'll cost $100,000 a year. If it's operating, though, there will be other costs associated with the machinery--repairs, maintenance, etc. So at full production, that machine might cost $150,000 a year. And suppose next year the company needs to make 110,000 widgets. It'll have to buy or lease a new machine, since the original machine has a maximum capacity of 100,000 widgets a year. So while the costs won't rise above $150,000 for the original machine, the company's total machinery costs will rise. Hope that helps.
- Q: I am a graduating senior of 2010.I want to can i do with a history major besides being a teacher and work at a musemI also need to no what is a machinst and How much they make starting out and how much they make a year.
- Let me address Machining, since I got a Machining Diploma for personal interest's sake. Basically, a machinist makes things out of metal by removing metal from a larger block of metal. He does this by using machines such as lathe, milling machine or grinder. Machining is usually a four year apprenticeship, which combines college courses with on-the-job training. A journeyman Machinist makes a good honest living of perhaps $40K~$60K, but this can vary widely depending on the local job market. An apprentice might start out at $10/hr.

- Okay...I hear you loud and clear. Strange is not it..However might be we're honestly getting that way in modern world. I mean, i really like my wife dearly...But... Sorry I can't explain any extra or it's going to just get me into enormous drawback. And not together with her.. Sigh.
- Q: Why havent this issue been on the news?? i mean, who is doing most work at factories to day? man or machine. Machines are. It aint odd that people cant find jobs. Today i saw the garbage truck picking up the garbage. Last year they had 3 guys standing in the back of the truck. this year its a robotic arm picking up the garbage and there for 3guys propably lost their jobs. Why aint this issue raised? can capitalism survive if the machines does most off the industrial work?sorry about the bad english
- Yes and a bunch of mule skinners lost their jobs when the railroads started hauling freight. When automobiles started selling the blacksmiths lost a lot of business. Stage coach drivers went into low demand when passenger trains started running. I have heard that in New York it is illegal for a home builder to install garbage disposal units in new homes. That is to protect union garbage collectors.
- Q: Location: USA - I get 120v on all 3 legs of 3 phase system but check 208v between any 2 legs. Can I step it up to 240v without a transformer? My machinery specifies 240v
- Assuming you want 240 volts 3 phase ... No, you need a three phase transformer, or 3 single phases transformers. .
- Q: Anyone know anything about Machinery Technician (MK) in the coast guard reserves? Is it true they would train you on working with engines? Anyone know if positions are guaranteed in CG or no? The website says 12 weeks in Yorktown, VA, *or* on the job training, has anyone ever gotten on the job training for this position instead and where at?
- the MK does all the engine repairs for the most part, aside from the muliti missions of search and rescue, law enforcement and boarding. the have guaranteed school IF there is availability. when you go to a recruiter as if there is or not for that time. on the job training is called striking. if you score high enough on your ASVAB you can have the option to strike, which means you will follow around a MK to learn everything rather than go to school. it takes a but longer but Worth it for people who really dont do well with classes. striking can occur where ever they send you-doesn't have to be one specific place
- Q: methods of attaching condition monitoring of machinery?
- Your question is too vague to even attempt an answer. What type of machinery are you monitoring? What parameters of said machinery do you want to monitor - temperature, broken tool, air hydraulic pressure, motor current, vibration...etc., on and on. Please clarify what you are asking so that we can attempt to give you a reasonable answer.
- Q: I work at a pizza place, and while washing dishes, a cheese grater fell off the shelf and broke. A piece that is important to the cheese grater's functioning. Now, mind you, it fell off the shelf and I was not touching it. My manager wants me to either pay cash, or he will just deduct it from my check, when I argued with him that it is a cost of doing business. Is this legal, and what sound I do?
- illegal. he can fire you, but may not deduct from your wages.
- Q: what do you think?
- no doubt. it states to on the back of most painkiller bottles.. please operate heavy machinery while on this medication
- Q: Why are hydraulic systems used in machinery such as bulldozers and backhoes, while pneumatic systems are used for things like opening and closing bus doors? Please provide a lot of detail, and examples!
- Where Are Hydraulic Systems Used
