I have the ability to sense objects around me without being able to see with them. - You need to make sure the voltage matches the official laptop AC/DC adapter that comes with a laptop. If it damages the laptop, the warranty for the laptop does not cover the damage. I would be most concerned with the voltage, and secondarily with the amperage, that if the output is too high, that could also damage the laptop. I've never even seen them used. It is far more common for people to buy an extra battery.

- It will work, after a fashion, but: You won't get much charging out of that alternator at idle. (You'll want that engine at about 1200 RPM minimum.) You will be draining the car battery initially. (This might be a serious drain if the battery bank is large in comparison to the car battery.) If the battery bank is much larger than the car battery, you might be overloading the alternator when you first start recharging. Don't let it heat up too much.
