Q: Can solar panels be installed on assisted living facilities?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on assisted living facilities. In fact, installing solar panels on these buildings can be highly beneficial as it can help reduce energy costs, promote sustainability, and contribute to a greener environment. Additionally, solar panels can provide a reliable source of renewable energy, helping to ensure a more reliable power supply for the facility and its residents.
Q: I'm re-doing my roof. Is it workable? Can I get a government grant or something to put solar panels on my roof?I know they did something like that for windows.
I take it you are in the uk,no grants available that I know of .Affordability is down to how wealthy you are, cost effectiveness? you may!!!recover the cost over about 20 to 30 years depending on your power use, against what you would pay a power Co. Worth while? frankly just another scheme to prise money out of the public,in the name of ecology or cost saving.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on public parks or gardens?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on public parks or gardens. In fact, installing solar panels in these areas can be a great way to promote renewable energy, reduce carbon emissions, and generate clean electricity to power nearby facilities or feed into the grid. Additionally, solar panels can provide shade for park-goers and enhance the overall sustainability of the space.
Q: My home uses an average of 2400 kW per month (28,800 per year.) How much can I expect it to cost to install solar panels of this amount? (It is not my intention to go off of the electric company's grid. I would like to generate what I can / possibly sell back extra power)What quot;hiddencosts are there? What is the average life of them? What is the quot;best(cost effective and green) solution / approach?(BTW.... I am in southern LA if that makes a difference)Best answer will go to clear answer WITH links/resources to back it up!)THANKS A MILLION!!! I hope you have a safe and happy holiday season!!!
Power inverter to change 2VDC panel power to 220VAC House power. (~$600) You are also going to need various switches and a meter to keep track of how much you are sending back to your power company. Final answer... Expect to pay ~$7,000.00 with installation by a qualified electritan.
Q: who has solar panels on their home and are they worth it
They're only worth it if: # - you are rich enough to afford them over the long term. Commercially installed solar panels will take you over 0 years to see any financial benefit. #2 - you get the parts and some instructions and get them built yourself. DIY or get a local electrician to put them together. If you don't fit into any of these 2 categories, then they're NOT worth it.
Q: I've recently started a project to help my store become more green and I need to get some estimates from businesses and if all goes according to plan we will have some panels on our roof and some other measures that I've written into my proposal. Any help is welcome. Just so you know it's a large grocery store in a corporate chain and I've been approved to do all the research, just no promises of payment.

Q: Are solar panels worth the investment?
Yes, solar panels are worth the investment. They offer long-term financial savings by reducing electricity bills and the potential for selling excess energy back to the grid. Additionally, they contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future by reducing carbon emissions and dependency on fossil fuels.
Q: I have a solar panel I bought for a diy project and it has a small plug on the end of it, but I need to remove this plug to expose the positive and return wires so I can solder a bunch of stuff together. How do I cut off the plug without shorting out the solar panel when I make the cut? Can I just leave it in the dark a while before cutting? I don't think I can remove the wires from the solar panel end before cutting.
A solar panel doesn't store energy. As soon as the light stops, the current stops instantly. If it's a 200-watt panel or more, it won't be harmed by a short circuit, but it might be good to turn the panel over or cover it with cardboard before working on it. The spark can slightly mar the contacts. Doing the work indoors is enough to cut down the current, too. For a 60-watt panel or less, I wouldn't even worry about the spark, the power output is too low to do any damage.
Q: Can solar panels be installed on a residential community?
Yes, solar panels can be installed on a residential community. Many residential communities have implemented solar panel systems to generate clean and renewable energy for homes. These installations can help reduce electricity costs, decrease reliance on fossil fuels, and contribute to a more sustainable living environment.
Q: Me and my friend have made our own functional solar panels for considerably less than retail prices and we are thinking about selling them. Are there any legal issues regarding this? Would I need any special licenses or anything? Would using brand name components or parts in the panels make any difference legally? I want to know before I just go out and start doing it. Thanks!
Aren't there any safety or efficiency standards you have to comply with? If I were buying solar panels I'd want to be sure the manufacturer was competent and licensed as a manufacturer/retailer. If someone brought a case against you for something that went wrong, and the brand name components were named as part of the problem, then yes, those brand name companies would certainly think there was a legal complication. Just do your research first. Your local chamber of commerce or university legal department would be able to help you.
