Q: What are some foods that are high in Iron besides meat and leafy greens?
Unsulphured dried apricots, molasses, nettle (you can get it in tea form or pick your own and add into soups/stews), beans, nuts, wholegrains and soya flour. Vitamin C aids in the absorption of iron so it's a good idea to combine iron rich food with vit c rich foods. If you're low in iron, avoid drinking tea (including green tea) and coffee as they affect your bodies ability to absorb iron.
Q: cast iron is widely used in manufacturing irrigation sluice gates penstocks.
From pedia: Cast iron usually refers to grey cast iron, but identifies a large group of ferrous alloys, which solidify with a eutectic. Iron accounts for more than 95%, while the main alloying elements are carbon and silicon. The amount of carbon in cast irons is the range 2.1 - 4%, as ferrous alloys with less are denoted carbon steel by definition. Cast irons contain appreciable amounts of silicon, normally 1 - 3%, and consequently these alloys should be considered ternary Fe-C-Si alloys. So, in general: iron, carbon, and silicon, with the carbon content being higher than in steel, making the cast iron more brittle than steel.
Q: i‘m just wondering what a clothes iron is made of and how it works. thanks!
the above poster is partially correct, the heat comes from resistive heating elements, just like an electric stove. but the electricity doesn't pass through the part of the iron that touches your clothes, that wouldn't be safe. the heat is generated internally and then radiates into the metal which touches your clothes.
Q: iron + hydrochloric acid gives iron (II) chloride + hydrogen gas.why don‘t you get iron (III) chloride?
This Site Might Help You. RE: Iron + hydrochloric acid? iron + hydrochloric acid gives iron (II) chloride + hydrogen gas. why don't you get iron (III) chloride?
Q: how iron work? function of iron ,
Iron is a key component of hemoglobin and myoglobin which transport oxygen throughout the body. Hemoglobin is found in red blood cells, and myoglobin is found in muscle cells. A deficiency in iron can lead to iron deficiency anemia which means oxygen is not being transported throughout the body efficiently. This leads to fatigue, compromised immune function, and lowers energy metabolism. Iron toxicity is also a concern which leads to nausea, vomiting, stomach irritation, and impaired absorption of other minerals.
Q: what can I not eat taking iron pills and why is that so?
If you are asking about the risks for taking iron supplements, you should know that taking too much iron is not good and even dangerous esp. if you are male. And if you are just a kid, you may actually die from iron poisoning. This is why there is no iron in vitamins for kids. Anyway, it is important to know that iron cannot be flushed out of the body except through bloodletting (i.e., donating blood) and menstruation. This means that men, kids and menopausal women are at risk from iron overload.
Q: i understand that the Ci6 irons were made for control and the Di6 irons were made for distance. but whats different about the club itself that makes it better for distance or control?also, is the a big difference Ci6/Di6 and Ci7/Di7
They have one thing in common - they are not worth wasting your hard earned money on. Spend it on Cobra, Callaway, Cleveland, Taylor Made, Titleist, Mizuno, Adams, Nickent, or anything other than Wilson, Walter Hagen, Intech, or Acuity. Wilson used to be popular back in the 70's thru the 80's, but not anymore I'm afraid.
Q: I am 39 female with a history of anemia. I‘ve been on straight iron on and off since 2004. Is there another way for me to build iron?
The easy answer to your question is to eat black molasses. Nothing has more.
