- Sleeping with your baby makes nighttime feedings/wakings easier because you and he will be more in sync with your sleep cycles, so you will tend to wake at the same times naturally. I think cute nurseries are a waste and that babies are best off as close to the parents as possible (at least in the same room) until they sleep through the night regularly. Be warned, though, I slept with my babies and was bragging on how they slept through the night--then I put them in another room: I just wasn't fully waking and would feed them while pretty much asleep.

- Depending on how the bed is positioned in the room, a foot board of a certain height could help the room look neat when the bed is unmade. For a beachy look, you might consider making a head/foot board out of old weathered panelled doors. Square or rectangular pattern on the doors would keep with a modern feel or even knock out the centers for an open airy feel. Restain them to fit the color of your room, or leave them natural. Nothing says you can't elevate a platform bed if you don't like it low to the ground.

- Here's a breakdown of my opinions.. I do like the bed for starters :) Bedding 1 - seems really dark and with the black already in your room it will make it seem too dark, I think.. Bedding 2 - pretty, but keep in mind how easy light colored things get ruined.. Bedding 3 - my favorite, it's patterned so you have several color choices to go with even if you completely change your room.. Bedding 4 - cute, but seems very elegant and old for an 18 year old.. soo.. I would go with the third bedding.. it will look fine even in a few years!
