- Q: I am biulding a small wooden machine prettty much like an excavator for my science project. It works on the principle of hydraulics and uses pistons (with coloured water). Now I want to make it more cool by either usind electricity or some mechanical way. So, if you cant tell me how a hydraulic piston of an excavator controlled, please tell me to how to power a piston using electricity.
- The pumps are not controlled they are either on or off. they just pressurize the accumulator and fluid is steered with valves to the rams.
- Q: Thanks for reading. I've wanted to participate in an Archeological dig since college after taking two classes on the subject. Any suggestions on where/how I could get involved with a dig as an amateur? Preferably somewhere warm of course.
- Im a history grad and my prof. told me a few years back that if I ever wanted to go to Rome I could help with a dig. So, I would recommend that you speak to a prof. at a college near you or the one you went to. They are very open and love to help. If you have a major in something close to archaelogy or history, thats even better.
- Q: Why do excavators have gas caps?
- There natural gas in mines
- Q: How many meters is the height of the PC-320 excavator?
- PC is the code name of Komatsu series excavator, but he doesn't have this model of 320. The current production has PC300-7 and PC360-7. Besides, does the height of the landlord mean the height of transportation or the maximum working height?AskPC-320 should be the old model. What I want to ask is the height of the workChasing the answerThe old model does not have 320, corresponding to the domestic 360 models in overseas label is 350, so you have to implement specific models, in the big arm side of the cab in the lower right corner has a square nameplate, will be marked on the specific model
- Q: We have a mini excavator and it's not being used much at all and we could use some extra money. I'm considering loaning it out for a price. Iquot;m curious if anyone has any experience in this. I'm guessing I'd need some sort of insurance in case it comes back broken. I'd need them to sign a contract. The excavator doesn't have a title, so how do I protect it from being stolen? Any thoughts or advice on this sort of business. What to think of before starting something like this.
- I had a commercial carpet cleaner I was thinking about doing the same thing with and with all the same problems and thoughts your are mentioning. They are saying you ought to be able to rent it for about 5 % of the cost of the thing per day. So I should be able to rent my $800 cleaner for about $40 per day. My though was to not just rent it to anyone, just to people I know or who are from a solid referral. People who are doing contracting work might be really hard on the equipment, but a local home owner would really be able to use it and maybe not beat it up too much. If you were getting $40 or $50 per rental, that would not be too bad of money for equipment not being used. I would talk it up with people you know, and maybe even go with the machine when you rent it. You are there, they are using your machine for 2 hours, you advise and collect the money, they do the work. Might work? meljr
- Q: Do you think Helen of Troy is a Hero? Why?thnks..im curious what you think b/c some agree and some disagree.
- The subject of the Trojan wars cropped up in a discussion I had with an archaeologist here on the island of Crete a few days ago. He told me that the general belief amongst archaeologists today is that the Trojan wars never happened. Homer wrote a good story and made it sound like genuine history by giving his characters Mycean names.
- Q: my fiberglass pool popped out the ground and now I need to reset it. I was hoping someone could tell me if a bobcat 337 can do the job. I can't get anything bigger without doing some major work.the pool is 40x15 fiberglass poolthanks for any suggestions
- A crane would be best to raise and re-set this pool safely. A skilled crane operator can safely raise, move, and reset this pool safely with no danger of damaging fiberglass or injuring others. This pool will need to be rigged properly or it can break in half under its own weight. A bobcat might lift the pool but mobility will be a problem.
- Q: During the winter , when there needs to be a burial , how is the grass and dirt in the cemetary shoveled up ? Isnt the mud too frozen for anyone to dig a 6 foot hole ?
- They used machines to dig them now. A backhoe!
- Q: my excavator hose has a leak. i installed new hose. the hydraulic oil was partially drained without my knowing. I started it but no response. I add oil but has no power. what would I do?
- It entirely depends on where in the system the replaced hose was. If it was on the suction side of the pump, there may be trapped air that needs to be purged before the pump will start to pump again. If on the pressure side, it would not cause what you describe. Another thing is if the controls are pilot valve operated and the pilot system got air in it, it would need to be bled out. You may need to contact the service department at a dealership and ask for some help.
- Q: Can anyone help me with a circuit diagram for the ECU in a Hitachi tracked excavator/digger model EX100-5. Or does anyone know of any online forums where I could get any information at all? I'd appreciate it if you could help me.
- I type this out 3 and 4 times a day, I wish people would write it down. You can pull up your vehicle and print out what ever you want to repair.
