- Q: I signed an agreement that stated I cannot have dogs. - what you describe sounds like a recurring problem with tree roots in your main sewer line. If this is the case, yes you will be using your friendly neighborhood rooter person at least once a year OR replace the main line. Older mains are made of, among other things, clay tiles(pipes). Theses pipes are about three feet long which means lots of joints, sometimes joined by common mortar, for tree roots to grow into as they seek water. New lines are of various types of plastic and generally 10 feet in length and joined together with fittings and pipe cement or rubber gaskets. I've never seen roots penetrate pipe cement and only rarely rubber gaskets.

- Maybe you can run in a temporary line from the compressor, connected to a branch with a valve. You will have to shut down whatever is on the other end until the connection is made, unless it has a valve fitted for this purpose. Another idea is to get a portable compressor or hire one for temporary use.
- Q: Okay, 1st I've though of the most stupidest ideas that pretty much made me worried now. So this is what happend, after reading on how unsafe it was to pierce your lip with a safety pin, I didn't know so I just gone right on ahead and did it, I didn't brush my teeth but I washed my hands, I used rubbing alcohol to clean the safety pin and my lip ring, Okay I used two types of safety pins becuase one was smaller and it didn't fit so I put in bigger one (cleaned with alcohol) in the same hole, it went in and then I put in the lip ring, it was like a loop type lip ring, I put it in and it bled alittle becuase it seemed the loop didn't really fit in but it gone in, I cleaned it afterwards with alchole and proxide. Now I took along time to do it becuase I was nervous. So I checked it was safe.. it wasn't, I took it off asap, I garged proxide and cleaned both sides with alchole, it feels like alittle bubble inside my lip, it looks a bit clean though.. Please don't call me ignorant and help.

- sharkbite fittings seem to work well, but mine are only a year old. you MUST true up [square up] the end of the pipe to be fitted and clean it as well. If that's copper, the smallest pipe cutter that will fit works ok, followed by sandpaper and a clean rag. the salesman at the store will help you understand. btw, my neighbor had a bad experience with the competitor's similar product. Since he's an a/c technician, I know he did the square up and clean process well, so the issue is the fittings themselves. sharkbite fittings can not be used within 18 inches of the hot water tank [on the hot or outlet side]. see store for other restrictions, including pressure.

- What makes her think it is related to the silver ? What exactly is happening ? Is it slow to drain or is water backing up in the sinks or? You can remove the traps under the sinks ( just unscrew the fittings ) and see if there is anything clogging it in there, otherwise post again and specify exactly what is wrong with the plumbing and how many fixtures are affected.
