- With expansion joint, or quick joint, the expansion joint is cheaper and faster. In any plumbing shop there is a retractable knot. Will need to replace the cast iron pipes sawed off, the new PVC tube into the cast iron pipe of about 100mm, with the PVC pipe fixing clamp. Then in the gap between the PVC pipe and the cast iron pipe, the cement mortar can be used for grinding. When connecting, the outer wall of the cast iron pipe can be polished with gauze to prevent leakage.
