- Q: Can plastic tubes be used for architectural installations?
- Yes, plastic tubes can be used for architectural installations. They are often used for temporary structures, such as exhibition displays or event installations. Plastic tubes offer flexibility in design, are lightweight, and can be easily shaped and manipulated to create unique architectural features. Additionally, they can be transparent or colored, allowing for creative lighting effects. However, it is important to consider the specific requirements of the installation and the durability of the plastic material to ensure it meets safety standards and can withstand environmental conditions.
- Q: My 98 Stratus 2.4L 4 cyl is dripping clear clean water on the passenger side and has accumulated water in the blower motor area. How can I clean out the drain? Where is the drain?
- The drain will be on the passenger side, towards the bottom of the firewall. It should be below the 2 heater hoses that go intot he heater core. On yours, I think it was just a tube coming out of the firewall, it will have a foam gasket around the platic tube. The tube will protrude from the firewall just a little bit. Some have a 90 degree rubber elbow on the end of the tube. If it is just the plastic tube, without the elbow, then use either a wet/dry vac if you have one, or use a wire hanger to poke into the hole and try to remove whatever is blocking the drain. If you don't get it out, it might block it again later, or it might come out with the water. If you have the 90 degree rubber elbow, a quick trick is to squeeze it at the very end and roll it between your fingers to loosen the blockage. If that doesn't work, remove the elbow and clean it out, it will generally have the blockage in it. The elbow should have 2 pieces of wire sticking out, just squeeze these together and slide it off. Might have to give it a twist to get it to come loose. If you get the elbow off and water doesn't come rushing out, then clear the plastic tube, and check the elbow to be sure it isn't clogged.
- Q: DN is the pipe a pipe or a plastic tube?
- DN is the nominal diameter. It does not represent the material of the tube. The material for the water supply pipe is usually PE
- Q: I'm looking to start a business plastic coating oilfield tools just needing a little more info of anyone out there had any good ideals or a way of doing this I'm already working on the shop remodeling it ....
- Yep,the Harbor Freight setup works OK with some practice, there's quite a learning curve there. I use a toaster oven for smaller parts. The powder they sell is ground plastic with a low melting point. I did a much larger piece by preheating it with a propane torch then keeping it hot enough to flow.
- Q: i finally bought a new faucet, and changed it. it seems that there is no more leaking from the faucet.but now, it seems that there is some water leaking right under that white plastic screw. around the plastic looking tube. inside of it, there is a dark rubber kind of ring around it. i can't take out the white plastic screw (i don't know the those special names.) otherwise, i will just put some plastic tape, and seal it. that shouldn't be so hard. so my question is 1. what do you recommend? should i buy a new tube? or is there any other way to fix this thing?extra question.2. the new faucet has the top iron thing and a black plastic base. i put the plumb's putty on the edge of top and bottom of the black plastic base. i am thinking what if there are some water leaking inside of the faucet, if i sealed the whole plastic base, the water will accumulate inside of it. did i do the right thing at all?
- Looks like the plastic connector has a duff washer in it. It will keep weeping and its annoying. PTFE plastic tape may assist but to be fair id do this: Remove the tube and make sure the threaded brass tail of the tap is flat and smooth wioth no burrs. Second, make sure the threads on the tube arent frayed or have been cross threaded so it goes on slightly crooked. third, make sure the black rubber washer in the tube connector end isnt twisted, split or slipping inside the tail when tightened up fully (common with some makes) fourth, make sure you havent overtightened it, this can cause the above. fifth, where the white plastic braded tube meets the shiny metal crimp section (before the white plasic) it can sometimes fail. Manufaturing fault but not uncommon. Done worry about your question 2. Its 99% question 1. Plumbing and heating engineer for 12 years - a little tip - if you have to force it, your probably doing it wrong. Its a good motto for plumbing.... and in life!!! Yeah baby! Good luck
- Q: After extruding the plastic pipe, why is it not soaking, cooling, spraying cooling?
- You can verify that if you take soaking and cooling, you need to constantly add water, otherwise the water temperature will soon rise
- Q: My 27 lb 4 year old dog possibly ate my Chapstick including the plastic tube. It was pretty small and he has not been acting any differently. My major concern is the plastic part. How soon would I start seeing symptoms if it was causing problems? It's been 24 hours since he ate it. Is something like that passable? Any insight would help! I say he may have eaten it only because I didn't physically see it happen. But one minute it was on the floor and then a minute later all i could find was the cap.
- He will either pass it in a day or two. Watch his stools for it. Or if he stops pooping, you will need to take him to the vet because it could be causing a blockage in his intestines. Hopefully, he will just pass it.
- Q: Are plastic tubes suitable for use in the electronics industry?
- Yes, plastic tubes are suitable for use in the electronics industry. They are commonly used for various applications such as cable management, protection of wires and components, and insulation. Plastic tubes offer flexibility, durability, and resistance to heat, chemicals, and moisture, making them an ideal choice for electronic devices and systems.
- Q: anyone know of tube shaped bellows? I'm also interested in large plastic pipe that is like bellows.
- Try plastic dryer vent pipe. Its spiral wire with some kind of mylar like skin. It can be used as bellows. Right around 4 diameter.
- Q: Will they disintegrate or damage over time? Or are they safe like that for a while?
- If you must store them for a long time get a tube that is acid free and that will hold out moisture. A plastic type tube. If you keep it dry and at normal room temperature, storing it in a tube is fine long term. Maybe even years. Do not roll tightly.
