Q: I live in US and this summer i will be traveling through UK, France, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and NetherlandsI am looking for a LIGHTWEIGHT sleeping bag or even a thin quot;mattressquot; (sheet) that wont take up lots of space in my suitcaseI wont be sleeping outside, only in hostels and camp houses where blankets and pillows are provided (although I a taking my small pillow)Any suggestions? THANK YOU
I think you 'should' take a sheet sleeping bagThis is a sleeping bag made out of bed sheet, you can make it yourself, but you can also buy them in camp gear and out door activity shops (like Rei in the USA.) They come in cotton, silk and man-made fibers, the difference is mostly size of the packed thing as well as priceI have always found the cotton ones small enough to packIf you also stay in hostels or camp houses that do not provide blankets, you will need a sleeping bag, a summer weight one will do, you find them in the same kind of shops but also many supermarketsMostly when they do supply blankets or duvets they do not want you to use your own down (or synthetic filled) sleeping bagI have taken the thin 'isolating' beach mats for sleeping on a mattress where I was not sure of its cleanliness, and in emergencies you can also sleep on it on the groundThey mostly pack away as small as the ones the camp shops sell but are much cheaper, just chuck it out before flying home and use the space for souvenirs.
Q: Hi there,I had a blanket questionI have a three and a half year horse filly and even though I don't blanket her I would like to have a winter turnout one on hand just in caseThe lowest temperature it can get up here is -5 F? during the winterSo it would be great if you guys had any suggestions on what type and weight of blanket I should get for her that would be awesome!Thank you so much :)
If she is able to stand the cold weather usually and has a good, thick coat, I would go with a medium (250g) to a medium-heavy blanket (around 300-350g)My TB has a 250g medium Amigo (by Rambo) blanket, and my mixed pony mare has a 180g light blanketIt only gets down to around 15 ?F here, thoughAlso, try to buy a 1000+ denier blanket that is waterproof; the higher denier almost guarantees less repair work on the blanket due to wear and tearHope this helps!
Q: So the exterior walls of this 1959 built home are quite coldWas going to blow in cellulose insulation and when I went to cut holes I could see there was paper sided batts already in thereI've cut holes at two different areas and it's the same storyThey're obviously not effective as well as they should have beenThey seem quot;crushedquot; up against one wallAlso I can't see what the r-value was on itSo my question isShould I even bother to blow in insulation in the walls? And if so how effective will it reach everywhere if the batt is partially in the way.
Probably will not bee too effectiveThe bats will hinder the needed spread of the blown insulation.
Q: What household items are made of these non-metals?
go to google and check, you'll surly get the right answer
Q: what is artificial silk, its sources and procsess to make yarn?
Yes you can put the pans in the oven, that is what they are made forI love using them when I am roasting something-like a turkeyI know wax paper can be put in the oven, but I would be a little apprehensive about putting anything other than wax or parchment paper or the paper cupcake liners in the oven.
Q: I have a stuffed nose all the time i can't breath through my nose fast without it collapsing together and closing, but its worse when i go to sleep then either the right part of my nose or left part get completely blocked depending what side i sleep on, don't think i have allergics because i still have a little stuffed nose when i was in a hot tub away from everything, so i'm thinking could it be my immune system messing things up because i have an skin problem (vilitigo) which is when the immune system attacks color cells in the skin and the skin goes milky white, anyways please help me if you canmight add that i'm 18 years old male and in a good shape.

Q: so for two weeks I've had sore breast/nipples I had cramping and sharp pain in my lower abdomen now my breast don't hurt yet I feel those sharp pain in my lower left abdomen plus I have irregular period sometimes I get my period in the first weeks of the month and sometimes on the last weeks can one last thing sometimes I feel sore boobs and mild cramping before period but two weeks past and no period plus I've never felt this needle sharp pain
It's normal to feel these kinds of aches and pains - it's down to hormonal changes causing your body to retain water which in turn, stretches your body cells which is what causes the painIf you need help with relieving the pain, try this:- - Keep your abdomen or lower back where the pain is warm by soaking in a hot bath, holding a hot water bottle wrapped in a cover, towel or blanket against your abdomen (NEVER let the rubber come in direct contact with your skin, as it can cause burns), using a heating pad or rice sock, or massaging it with your handSome people find having a laptop on their lap by their belly can help because computers also produce heatThe heat helps your pelvic muscles relax- Have some peppermint sweets or peppermint tea - peppermint can help relieve the pain- If you want to take a pain relief medication, use ibuprofenThese work best because they're designed to target muscular painTake it as soon as you feel pain
