Q: I have a few months history of terrible lower abdominal distention and swellingI am very thin, so it is quite obvious on my lean body when my belly protrudes and it is very hardI sometimes get very gassy with thisI NEVER have diarrheaI am NEVER constipatedI do, however, have 1-2 VERY large bulky stools of normal consistencyMy diet is whole foods, veggies, fruits, grains, lean meats, soy products, and no dairyI do drink coffee and I use splendaI excercise vigorously 5 days per week and I drink approx 100 oz of water per day.How can this be IBS or a food intolerance considering I NEVER get diarrhea, cramps, spasms or pain? It is only distention and gas.
Gas is also a sign of IBS, as is distention! IBS is a diagnosis based on exclusion, it means that your intestinal issues don't have any underlying disease or physical problem as the causeMany intestinal issues fall into this category! Gas is caused by fermentation of foods in your intestine by the organisms that live there, however, so you might want to try something that will shift the balance of the microflora to something more comfortableTry taking inulin (a soluble fiber, some fiber supplements are inulin!) or eating lots of yogurt, these help some peopleInulin has been shown in studies to cause bifidobacteria (the good kind!) to become the dominant intestinal organisms when taken regularly.
Q: Our pediatrician told us when switching them to milk to be careful, there iron may get lowso I'm needing fingers foods she can eat that will raise her iron levelalso, she seems to be constipated some timesWhat are some finger foods high in fiber to help with that also? Thank you!
Prune, apple, and grape juices are good to keep their bowels moving.
Q: How would i go about putting a book together consisting of two pieces of fabric together when the pieces of fabric have cardboard on the back of them and then putting 20 or more pieces of paper in between?
you'll need to create a fold in the fabric/cardboard cover so that you can open/close your bookyou can do this by laying a ruler along the top edge and running a popsicle stick or dried out ball point pen along the ruler (to score it) then fold the fabric/board back against the ruleryou can stack the pages between the covers, then make two holes in the top - using a hole punch or drillyou can bind it with a rubber band and popsicle stick (push the rubber band through one hole, push the stick through that loop, stretch the rubber band across the back and then through the second hole and push the other end of the stick through that)or you can bind it with yarn or ribbon: put one end of the ribbon through one whole, the other through the other hole, pull them so they are eventake the ribbon up over the top of the book and back through the same holedo this on both sidesnow just tie in a bow or knot.
Q: Hey all,Back to true questions LOLAnyway, My horse is currently at a horse show in an outdoor stallThe barn trailered her out there for me as school is more important right now (As I was told by my mother) xD So from my understanding they trailered her late morning, early afternoonI will not be able to make it out to the show until 5:30-6ishIt is going to rain (I can hear the thunder as I type) and I'm worried about her being naked in a stallCanada is not known for having warm rain until summer so if it is cold rain im a little worried :/Will she be ok until I get there? She has been turned out naked the past few days so thats how they shipped her. Thanks so much, feel free to ask questions if you need verifying )
It depends on what kind of winter coat she grows, some horses grow thicker coats than others, i would go with either a medium (250-300 grams polly fill) or a heavy (350-400 grams) try to get a blanket that has +1200 denier it is basically how waterproof/windproof it is, and how tightly the shel is woven, make sure you measure your filly andget the right size i would buy big so that she can have some growing room
Q: I am redoing all the insulation in my homeEverything is done except for the atticIt is a crawl in attic and once you are in, its not very tall just longIt looks like the floor insulation has been done not too long ago so i won't mess with thatThe attic ceiling is slanted(the roof is slanted) and there is no insulation on it that there is only 2 vents on the roofI've realized in the summer its very hot upstairs and winter cold upstairsI think the insulation would help with that, what do you think? And what type of insulation would be best? Thank you!
there are two ways to insulate the floor of the attic before adding any more INSULATION product you should determine if you want to add any additional ceiling lighting to the floor below as it is easier to deal with that issue [[ or not ]] at this time the 2 types of insulation [[ R-factor ]] are either the rolled batts which are the best or blown in insulation the best determination is by having several insulation companies visit your home and give you some bids/quotes to have cost figures and get the opinion of what product will raise the R-factor to the level that will make your home more comfortable and heating and cooling more energy efficient you may also want to discuss the use of strategically and energetically placing roof vents with the insulation biddersknowing the cost and understanding what R-factors are the basis for good decisions on your part the roof is not the place to attempt any insulation and that will be better understood by asking the bidders the floor of the attic/crawl space is where the insulation dollars will benefit your home and the lowering of the energy bills I hope this helps you make a good decision .
Q: I JUST started learning how to knit, and I think I've got the garter stitch down already so I want to start making a Ravenclaw scarfA lot of the websites I visited had different instructions, such as using a knit AND purl stitch pattern or knitting on the round, but I was wondering if I could just use garter stitch for the entire scarfAll I'm worried about is if using garter stitch would affect the look of the scarf and if it's really the best stitch to usePlease help me out!(PLUS, if anyone can tell me what the best sizes of yarn and needles should be, that would be SUPER helpful.)
Eggs, oats, peanut butter, milk, beans, frozen vegetables, chicken, canned tuna, and many more things I probably forgot.

Q: Can you recycle baby food jars ? And drinking glasses with cracks in them?
Glass is glass and recycled glass rarely goes into new glasswareIt is too expensive to processMost is recycled into fibre glass insulating blanketThe rest is choking up facilities all over the world as there is little demand for it.
Q: I want to put recycled blue jeans from a co called Bonded Logic but I cannot seem to find out what the costs are for my attic that is 30' by 30' by 20' height (it is a pyramid shape)Serious answers only! I have breathing problems and cannot use standard insulationPlus we are going green.
